Big Sky MBB tournament

Post by BelgradeBobcat » Wed Mar 10, 2021 6:46 pm

Joe Cravens is a treasure. I like his and Jon Ogelsby's calls of the games.

I looked in a little bit on all of the men's first round games:
Sac State and UNCU was a good close game until Hume got red hot. Sac didn't look as good as they did against us, but maybe we had something to do with that.

NAU creams PSU. Didn't see that coming. NAU has had a rough season. They were on a 4 game losing streak.

Montana vs Idaho got a little close at the end but the griz led the whole way except right at the beginning. I haven't watched the griz very much, but one thing is very apparent-they play much better defense than MSU at all positions. They just make it harder to score. I hope Sprinkle figures out how to coach good defense. Obviously we haven't really seen it here yet. DeCuire is a heck of a coach-dang it.

In the Sac-UNCU game for a stretch the centers for both teams were scoring at will. Cravens said they were playing a good cousins game-you score, I score. He made it sound pretty funny.

Heck, just saw this thread or should probably say I remembered.

The griz had a squeaker against Idaho. Idaho's lack of free throw accuracy lost them tbe game...

Griz didn’t score a FG in the last 8 minutes. WTH, Idaho?

Didn’t matter because we were up 15. Gotta give us credit, we try so hard to lose sometimes. Usually it works better than tonight though considering we lost 6 of our 9 conference losses by less than 5 points. Also Idaho had 17 TOs.

Can’t mention Cravens without this.

Reminiscent of the classic Billy Tubbs performance.

While registering my vehicles the assessor stated "I have had both Cat and Griz students and alums work for me and the Griz end up working under the direction of the Cats."
