Big matchup for the cats this weekend. Weber sits 4-2 in the conference with narrow losses against Portland and SUU. This matchup might serve as a good litmus for MSU.

A trip down memory lane. Coach Sprinks providing lessons for the young guns....

Crazy that it was the first conference tourney title in 20 years. It's now been nearly 25 years since...

I think Weber is a talented bunch that is just finding their groove. I believe they brought in a decent amount of transfers so they are just starting to gel.

Weber does a good job of getting to the line and they are an excellent free throw shooting team. On the flip side the Cats are not good at limiting opponent's free throw chances, so this could certainly be a challenge. Weber is very good at limiting offensive rebounds, so we need to take good shots and be efficient with the ball.

I'd be pretty happy with a split.

That was actually incorrect, MSU won the conference tournament in 1986 in the Starner/Domako/Ferch era so it had been 10 years by '96.

Saw a little bit of Weber's game at Idaho. They look to be extremely talented yet again with some pretty high profile transfers. The men will have their hands full.

As for the women: I think we have a 20 plus game win streak against Weber State? The streak should continue-unless the Wildcats pull off a huge upset (which can always happen in Big Sky hoops).

Wished the games were reversed this weekend location wise as I would like the men to have the home court advantage. Weber men’s game will be tough on the road as they are strong team.

Whoa...a little bit over on the WBB streak, actually Bobcats have won last 4 in a row over Weber, but we do dominate the series by substantial margin (25 of last 26 games). Weber has been really down last couple years, currently setting at 0-8 and 0-11. Closest they have come to a win is an OT loss to SUU. Trust Tricia will have them ready to play and not let an underdog team get their first win.

Go Cats!!

I remember when Sacramento State women’s basketball broke a 44-game conference losing streak against MSU and Potera on Senior Night. It cost us the Big Sky crown. I’ve never seen Coach Bin fall into that trap of not leading with her best and trying her best to have her team mentally ready for any game. Hopefully the ‘Cats can have another fast start and end the drama quickly. They’ll be ready. If a head or two isn’t right, with the deep roster there is always another head that’s ready to go. I hope they get a chance to hand out more significant minutes throughout the roster, but I’ll be more than happy with two more capital Ws.

I just don’t understand what’s happened to Weber State. They were a quality team for a long time, then they dropped to mid pack, and then to the cellar. There are no excuses not to have a good program at Weber. It’s like the administration has just written them off.

Take note that the WBB game has been moved up to 6pm =D^ while the MBB remains at the original 7pm start time.

For WBB, I just noticed they are in 100% control of their destiny. They can win out and take the #1 seed per my math.

Obviously the men are too. Huge week for the men.

Madison Jackson appears to be getting back to form on offense-which great, because she is an absolute terror on defense.

Bobcats up 25-6 at the end of the first. Our defense is really good...against a struggling team it's almost unfair. Binford needs to really spread the minutes around in this one.

12 players with minutes in the 1st quarter. 7 had points. 15 of 25 points off the bench. Depth is an understatement.

MSU has a starting 10.
