This stinks. Why can't SUU send the healthy players up to play?
There a protocols they can follow in case one of them may be carrying the virus.

MSU gets screwed because SUU can't manage their program during a time when the kids aren't even in school. SUU can't leave this conference fast enough.

Guess should change title on thread because WBB games at SUU were just canceled also. Complete wipe out for both teams. Was looking forward to see the teams compete against BigSky opponents this weekend.

Has there been any talk about giving the players an extra year of eligibility, similar to the football side of things?
I have a feeling like half of the bball season or more will be canceled When it’s all said and done.... really sucks if that is the last year of playing for the seniors.

Wow. Sad for the players and the coaches. Away games during breaks are golden for the students without the schoolwork always hanging over their heads. And sad for the fans. I was looking very forward to four games, finally. But I’m also sad for our family friends who just lost their son, husband, father to covid-19. That stuff is real. Better safe than sick.

Agree with LT. I heard same thing on another year. OK let’s say the kids could get the extra year... but will they stay is the question. Example, on WBB side, Tori as a senior could take another year...but she will graduate in Nursing and wants to get out working...the job market will be hot for nursing profession. I would like to see her back in a Bobcat uniform but why would she stay...other than decide to start on masters or PA type degrees. Time to move on with life?? I don’t know.

I see that MBB are going to play UM-Western on New Year's day. I least they get a game in. Maybe the women can schedule a double header.

Edit: Looks like they'll be playing Utah Valley.
