She takes a punch well, too.

Cats lead 35-33 at half. Were down by 9 early in 2nd quarter.

Very decent 1st half. That is a very tough, gritty bunch.

I didn't have any audio for a while and thought it would just be the video and the courtside announcer, then boom, there was audio.

73-63. Rough 4th quarter. Got beaten on the boards, a couple bad turnovers, and shots didn’t fall. Still, a great performance by a young team.

Yes, they hit a wall. Shots stopped falling. But they are battlers.

I got the impression late that Utah was getting away with some contact. But that had nothing to do with the CATS dropping this once.

Physicality from the Utes.

Back-to-back games, early season...seems like an understandable case of running out of gas. Shot very low percentages in both games. I think that will come. I got a feeling this group is going to really take off about mid-season. They are so young.

This team has a bright future....I look for them to be very competitive in conference play this year....and winning the Big Sky in the next year or two.

Young, indeed. Tied with three other teams for youngest team in the nation! Average age of 19.3, according to the Utah announcers. So there’s a lot of room for development.

Utah got away with a lot of physical stuff yesterday. There were at least two occasions where our girls were pushed with the ball and ended up moving their feet, and subsequently called for traveling. There were several rebounds in the fourth quarter that Utah grabbed by going over the back of Bad Bear and Jackson. One of the Utes gave White a pretty good shove which should’ve been a technical foul, but it was only called a common foul. As you said, though, these weren’t enough to make a difference. We hung in for three quarters in spite of some bad calls.

I saw the same thing. I thought it did impact the game down the 4th quarter. Score was tied at like 53-53 and then Utah had a 10 point run. Some questionable no calls during that run which ended up changing the game. It seems Utah could shove all they wanted down the 4th quarter and the Utes knew it wouldn’t get called.

I think this team might have more potential than any team in MSU history. I see a minimum 2-3 BSC championship....... they’re young, but extremely talented.
