I see Appalachian State played Michigan and lost in a respectable score of 79 to 71. They are the first team we will play down south in the Spartan invitational, game time being Friday @ 2:30. Unfortunately this game is not being televised, however the next game on Saturday will be on ESPN 3. Looks to be some good competition for us. Hope we bring it!!

According to these guys, MSU is the underdog in this matchup, but the season is young so their models aren't exactly fine tuned yet.

The game starts in 1 hour, I have some free time so I'm posting this info.

I found this article informative. App state has a new coach also this year, who is also implementing a new offensive scheme, where their big guy who usually played down low is now camping out and shooting threes some. Positionless basketball. Their close game with Michigan came as a result of a com from behind effort where they were down by 30pts, so they know how to claw back in and fight. We jumped out to a 10 to 2 lead with 3 dunks and a Harry Frey 4pt play, but they worked themselves back into the game and they are now ahead 25-24 @ the half.

Edit... the audio is horrible! Lots of background noise or something.

Yeah, hard to listen to really. Tough last 10 minutes or so after a good start.

I switched to their play by play feed as well. He's a good announcer for this and you can actually hear the feed!

Cats win 59-56!!! That was a fun one!

Wow. Last year we would have lost that one 89-86. The defense is obviously better-whatever Sprinkle is doing. That's a quality win.

Yeah, we held strong, Harry led the team, Adamu hit 4 for 4 from the line at the end to ice the win!

MSU needs to work on audio! Sounds like he is under water. I, also, switched to ASU feed. Crystal clear and their announcer was good.

The bad news-Belo fouled out in 16 minutes. The good news-he'll be nice and fresh for tomorrow's game.

I am no expert but that is a good win. Like what I heard... One game at a time.
