Just wondering what guys think of Doug Robinson. He stepped down at Billings west yesterday. He has a great record at West high and his son Danny plays on the Bobcats. He has good ties to MSU. Would he be considered a candidate for at least a position on the new head coaches staff?

I like Doug a lot. He's a good guy and a great HS coach. He coached West for TWENTY years. I don't think he would be considered an assistant candidate here but that would also depend on if he even wants to coach again.

Not if Fields is wanting to cut MSU ties.

Might be a conflict of interest to hire a current player's dad, but maybe not.

Either way, love the Robison family, love Doug. He's a great coach. Here's the story I wrote on him and Danny following West's state title in Bozeman a few years ago.

Would it be any different (other than the reverse order) than the Durham's being here?

Wasn't it more than 20 years? I was in the last year of Bill Ryan being West's head coach, and I thought Robison took over right afterward. I moved away from Billings, so I may be wrong.
