I can run, rebound, finish above the rim and block shots
I think just being aggressive and holding your own to not let your opponent get second chance points is really important. Having good positioning and boxing out all are key factors. Rebounding is very important to me, and is always one of my main focuses going into a ball game.
I like this kid already.

Watching Bigby-Williams shine for LSU. What could have been. Sigh......

No kidding
"I just try to go out there and be the best defender I can be,” Bigby-Williams said. “That’s the strongest part of my game and the best way I can help my team.”
The Cats really coulda used some of that this year...or the year before that...or the year before that...or the year before that...
Huse had several foreign recruits who did not meet elgibility requirements. I also recall a French player who never saw the court in a Bobcat uniform.
Can not remeber his name but went to prep school, then JC and ended up playing for St. johns

Sounds like Haslam did a lot of finding talent that went somewhere else. He hit paydirt with Harald, but the other ones were projects that never worked out or "players" that looked for greener pastures after he went through the process of recruiting them and establishing their eligibility. So far the jury's out on Nikarinen.
I think guards are easy to find whether here or Europe. Value is determined by whether they want to work to improve their game like Harald did as opposed to someone like Bonton who wanted star status before doing anything.

The recruit from France was before Haslam came on board. I don’t believe he is the one responsible for not ensuring they would meet eligibility requirements.
Both Frey and Nikarinen were recruited on Fish’s watch and were eligible.
