They played well tonight. This was the first game i have watched this year and it really seems like they mite live and die by the 3 ball..26 attempts i believe! That seems like a crazy amount of attempts. Colbert played well..he is turning into a really nice player for us, and the frosh..stephen holm i believe his name is has a sweet stroke from 3. He could become an excellent scorer for us with some more seasoning.

Work related meetings kept me away-though I was so down on the team I probably wouldn't have gone anyway.
Very good win. Remember they just lost to Northridge by 1 on a neutral court last week. So it's good to see we actually do have a bit of a home court advantage.

I know it's probably some magical fuzzy math formula, but Northridge was 205 and we lost by 1 and won by 15. Would we jump up to 205 or would they just drop a little and we'd get bumped up a little ?

Oh I have no idea how RPI is actually calculated, I just didn't realize it could go higher than 300, but it turns out with the 2013 MBB team you learn new things every day. Like the RPI goes higher than 300, there are 18 teams worse than we are, and.....well, that's enough for tonight.

Any reason Egwuonwu is coming off the bench? Is Biglow hurt?

Huse wanted to reward some players for their hard work in practice...that's why Egwonu, Coleman, didn't start along with Davis who is coming off an injury, and Biglow who is slightly injured.

I sat close to the bench and when the team came out I wondered about the team enthusiasm and chemistry, but once the game got underway there was no doubt the kids were fired up and playing hard--pulling for each other, etc. This Northridge team looked pretty typical of a BSC team, so who knows what will happen as we go forward. This was my first game this year and all I know is they have some good shooters and played hard. I'm cautiously optimistic at this point.

Heh. Been saying the same thing for better than a decade. From now on, label me as certainly pessimistic.
