Jeff Goodman of CBS Sport.com is reporting that Jeff Budinich is transferring out of Montana State. Budinich had his scholarship pulled this past fall when he and Tre Johnson (who was kicked off the program) got caught stealing items from cars. Technically he was a walk-on this year for the Bobcats after being a scholarship player the three previous year (one as a ******). I am not surprised by this move. His lack of playing time this year allowed the coaches to justify not reinstating Budinich scholarship for his senior year. Budinich leaving will not open up a scholarship.

What Bobcatnation censor has problem with the word "Redshirt"

Well on one hand 6'10" kids don't grow on trees so it's too bad we're losing him. On the other hand, he never seemed to grasp the ability to play defense, rebound, or score inside that a kid his size is expected to do. He wanted to be on the perimeter shooting threes-even in warmups that's all he did-sit on the perimeter and shoot threes. Hope he latches on somewhere and more importantly gets his degree.

I assume that's what happened as well. We don't manually censor things like that ... it's all pre-set.

I doubt this comes as much of a surprise to anyone.

Must be taking his talents to the next dark parking lot...I will miss him chucking them up from 25' and then coliding with Biglow in zone defense and having the point guard jump over him on his way to an easy layup.

Maybe check your spelling....you missed the second r.

Brown ones are expected, but when they are red....you've crossed the line.

Of all the players I have seen lately in a Bobcat uniform who had tremendous potential and God-given ability--size, height, ability to shoot from long-range, etc. this is one guy who did absolutely NOTHING with it. When he was in the game I would focus my sights on him and the guy played no defense. Despite his size, a high school kid with average height could out-rebound and outbox him. He did not hustle. Any loose balls went the other way.

Not to mention his lack of maturity in making bad choices off the court.

As a former hoops player of many years ago, I could only DREAM of having his physical assets! What a waste. What a shame.
