Just saw where Bobby Brasswell got fired from Cal Northridge. I bring this up because former Bobcat player great and assistant coach Danny Sprinkle was the head assistant there. Thought a few Bobcat old farts might be interested to know.

I was actually just thinking about that possibility. I wonder if sprinkle would be considered to replace brasswell.

Would sprinkle consider the HC job at MSU?

I would be extremely surprised if Sprinkle ever came back here. Not because of MSU but because he loves Cali so much.

Wow, Braswell had to have been one of the longest tenured coaches in the country. Wasn't Sprinkle considered at one point as the head coach in waiting for them after Braswell left? You have to wonder if that's still the case if Braswell was fired instead of leaving on his own.

Can not tell you about the head coaching job but I beleive Sprinkle at least doubled his assistant salary when he left MSU to go back to Northridge.

Brasswell made $241,508 with bonus potential of $33,305. Sprinkle made between 60 and $65,000 (depending on amount of bonus) as an assistant. Northridge only has 2 assistants on the books. Braswell also served as an administrator in the athletic department which probably begot some of his total salary. Coach Huse base salary is $111,102 with incentives it's close to $131,352. The last reported salaries for assistants that I could find was from 2007 - the MBB assistants were making between $44,390 and $54,204 - and MSU has 3 assistants on the payroll.
