IT'S TIME

Post by bobcats35 » Fri Jan 25, 2013 10:38 am

It's time for all Big Sky Presidents, AD's, and Men's and Women's coaches to band together and "DEMAND" that Fullerton provide quality officials for sporting events in the conference. If he can't (or won't) he should be relieved of his duties and replaced with someone who can and will.

Last nights game with Weber was the ultimate in poor officiating. Those three men should never ever be allowed to work another game in the Big Sky or any other conference. Poor officiating seems to be common in the Big Sky, but that does make it acceptable. Football for the most part is somewhat better but far from what should be. Fullerton is ultimately responsible for all aspects of the Big Sky and quality officiating should be close to the top of his priority list. It does not appear to be the case. Something must be done and done NOW.

It's time for action. I hope MSU Sports Info reads this and passes it along to those who need to read it.

Well, as I said in another post, the officiating last night was indeed terrible. You always hope the officiating is completely fair, but if anything, you figure the home team (and crowd) might get a slight advantage. Last night was just the opposite. Here we were down 11 fouls to 4, yet the WSU players and coaches were still whining and meeting with their buddies in the zebra stripes. The fight that occurred, in my opinion, was a direct result of the emotions that had been building because of the horrible calls. Sitting right on the floor, I was absolutely appalled at some of the missed calls that were made right in front of me.

I normally don't yell at officials---I'm all about sportsmanship and I'll be the first to admit that I could never officiate a BB game; however, I at least want to see balance. Those officials last night, for some reason, had it in for us. It's a miracle that Huse was able to restrain himself and not draw a technical foul!
