Walter Berry has to be right up there. 1986 Big East Player of the Year and Wooden Award winner. Soooooooo close to a win in that game.

Both Pete Maravich and Elgin Baylor were pretty good. Boise State had Chris Childs who was a decent guard.

Mark Jackson was also on that team.
Kevin Johnson (Cal) played for the Suns.
Brian Shaw (UCSB) played for Celtics and Lakers.

More recently - Rodney Stuckey, Eastern Washington. Having a decent career for the Detroit Pistons.

Orlando Lightfoot of Idaho, Steve Hayes of Idaho State, John Wallace of Syracuse. Wasn't there a guy from Weber State that had a fairly long career in the ABA in the late 60's and/or early 70's....can't remember his name though.

Childs actually had a very nice career in the NBA. He was a starting point guard for several seasons, with the Knicks and Nets, I believe.

Seems to me the Weber kid was Willie Sojonour (sic). This was during the era that Weber would always "lose" by one or two points in the sweet 16 and Jerry Tarkanian and Long Beach State would lose by one to UCLA in the west region, so Tarkanian questioned the ethics and the corruption of the NCAA. Guess who the NCAA went after?

Thanks....it was Sojourner that I was thinking of.
