Grit, toughness lifted Cats over Griz in quarterfinals

As Brad Huse rightly pointed out on Saturday, Montana State's 56-54 upset of Montana in the quarterfinal round of the Big Sky Conference tournament was not the result of great shooting.

Quite the opposite, actually.

"I don't know if we necessarily clicked," said Huse, MSU's third-year coach. "I looked at our shooting percentage and it was in fine Bobcat fashion."

The sixth-seeded Bobcats are shooting 41 percent heading into tonight's semifinal game at regular-season champion Weber State (21-8, 15-1), a number that ranks second-to-last in the Big Sky and last among the four remaining tournament teams.

He means this team doesn't shoot worth a crap. But we fight till the end.

Speaking of the Gazette, I didn't see any headline from them on this win over Weber and when was the last time any Big Sky player ever made Sportcenter's Top Ten let alone #1.
