And if, in 3 games prior, they were averaging 33% and against us they shot way better, that really speaks volumes for this win against a team that only lost by 8 to #7.

I'm also paying close attention to Portland's game tonight at #11 USC. The Bobcats quite easily handled Portland on the road so if Portland can stay close in this one that's another great sign.

Great win! I’m starting to wonder if this team is as good as last year’s.

Ella Johnson gets those long arms in the way of everything, but she's often been a bit prone to foul trouble. Now we just bring in Teagan Erickson and her long arms. This team must just be a nightmare to play against.

They aren't as good as last year. They're better.Catfanatic84 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 18, 2025 10:16 pmGreat win! I’m starting to wonder if this team is as good as last year’s.

Every single time UNLV would grab some momentum, the Cats would step up and respond and kill any run. Quite impressive.

She is going to be all conference if she continues on this pace. Good moves inside, quick on her feet, plays good D, shoots from the mid range and arc well. Season has a long way to go but the 5 games I have watched so far she will be difficult to stop.

It's early, but I think this team very well may be the best team MSU has ever had.MSU01 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 18, 2025 10:22 pmThey aren't as good as last year. They're better.Catfanatic84 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 18, 2025 10:16 pmGreat win! I’m starting to wonder if this team is as good as last year’s.

Fantastic effort! Great win. Work on those free throws.
Now a road trip to Troy, Alabama. This is such a fun team to watch. The ladies play with so much energy and never let up.
Very good crowd tonight even though no students showed up at all. Too bad, they are missing out.

Re: WBB against UNLV tonight
This team is probably better top to bottom — and I’ve been thinking they will be better by the end of the season than last year. I don’t expect 30 wins because of the tougher schedule but after tonight, who knows? A year like that takes an incredible amount of luck with injuries, reffing calls, and just plain luck.Catfanatic84 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 18, 2025 10:16 pmGreat win! Team speed is improved which means they can play faster on offense than last year — every one of the 13 can flat get up and go, take the ball, make the passes. Basically no positions. Who was the shooting guard tonight? Addison? Was there a center? Not so much.
The young players were good last year but are better now. Addison Harris. Taylee Chirrick. Teagan Anderson. Ella Johnson. Brooke (Berry) Fatupaito. Dylan Philip when she gets back on the court.
The new players are more ready to play than ever. All of them. Grace Hintz may need more time to fully come back from her high school injuries. Heidi and Courtney Smith are sophomores in Freshman disguise. Philip. Bailey. Couture. Etc. They can all play right now if needed. A couple have started games already.

Except it’s worrisome that they shot that much better against us. We made up for it with turnovers.

I think it’s time to put them names on the back of both women’s and men’s BB jerseys.

And there’s not a senior in the bunch! Plus 2 highly touted recruits coming in next year. If Bin keeps this team together they will log a lot of wins over the next few years.Bobcat4Ever wrote: ↑Wed Nov 19, 2025 12:37 amI agree. Re: WBB against UNLV tonight
Just open up our check books a little more to help retain players so “we” can help Coach Binford keep most of the team intact for a couple more years…as well as adding quality recruits. Watching them play quality opponents like last night you can tell a couple of them are going to get some offers!Catfanatic84 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 19, 2025 9:17 amAnd there’s not a senior in the bunch!
