The MSU press release said the last triple double was in 2004. The interesting thing is that she has the athletic ability to record a quad double someday….points, rebounds, assists, and steals. Likelihood is probably low but she is an athlete!!!Bobcat4Ever wrote: ↑Tue Dec 09, 2025 4:23 amAwesome. I remember Stu Starner talking about rebounding range, basically a circle of varying size for each player. Taylee’s must be huge. Somewhat less than 94 feet, by rule.TheJoeGoldstone wrote: ↑Mon Dec 08, 2025 9:30 amTaylee's set shot and her motor got her the 1st triple double of her career in last Saturday night against N Dakota - 17 pts, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. With about a minute left in the game, Binford was made aware that Taylee needed one more rebound for the trifecta. She subbed her back in and it only took Taylee 12 seconds to get that rebound.
How many triple-doubles belong to MSU Bobcats women’s basketball players? I’ve only followed them closely since 1993 and my leaky-sieve memory doesn’t remember any.

Her shooting percentages have improved a lot over last season. I don’t know if she changed her technique but something happened there. Her shooting was the only thing keeping her from being a UCONN-type player.
MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

The more I thought about Stu’s remarks, if it is to be a circle then I guess it’s only 47 feet.D-Wreck wrote: ↑Tue Dec 09, 2025 12:03 pmWell, you're certainly correct there!!Bobcat4Ever wrote: ↑Tue Dec 09, 2025 4:23 amAwesome. Seriously, I’ve been rewinding plays just to see if I saw what I thought I’d seen. Watch where she comes from to grab some of those boards. She isn’t just standing there trying to move someone out of the way. She has a tremendous sense of the area where the ball will come down. She runs at full throttle dodging players of both teams and arrives at the ball, surprising most humanoid players, and grabs it forcefully and tucks it away if she can. Draws a lot of fouls and gets called for surprisingly few. She has looped from behind the key to the baseline incredibly quickly. An uncommon athletic talent. Fast, strong, intuitive, fearless.

Here is a hint. The last player to record a triple-double will be an ironic legacy connection next year.

One would be a fool if they think Taylee wont get a look from some high level FBS programs. TomCat88 is right with her 3 point and FG % being up 8 to 10% this year. She continues on her defense and rebounding streak. Two years left to play and improve. Potential to end in Top 10 in nation again for some defensive efforts.
I’ll keep pestering the group here because to retain players like Taylee we are going to have to open up the coffers a bit. No we probably can’t match what the big guys are offering but we can entice them to stay within the excellent culture Coach Binford has created. Thank you to the folks who contacted me to offer some matching gift funds!!!

Isn't there a system of making a pledge to a specific player, and if the player leaves, then you aren't on the hook to pay. I've seen it for football but I don't think I've seen anything for basketball. I would throw some $$ at something like that if it exists.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to insinuate that she isn't capable of playing at a high level program. She's a fantastic player and athlete that we're lucky to have.BobcatDel wrote: ↑Fri Dec 12, 2025 9:09 amOne would be a fool if they think Taylee wont get a look from some high level FBS programs. It's not really a system, more a website that allows fans to do this. It was briefly promoted on the football board during the off-season but I'm not sure if it ever really went anywhere. Here's the site for the MSU women's basketball team, not much activity there so far. I think it's a much better bet to just donate directly to the Bobcat Collective and direct your donation to the WBB program if you want to contribute NIL money.ClowderUp wrote: ↑Fri Dec 12, 2025 10:35 amIsn't there a system of making a pledge to a specific player, and if the player leaves, then you aren't on the hook to pay.
