Oddly enough I am optimistic about this team. Cats could be 4-0 if they close out these tight games. Hoping the guys gel and turn a corner soon. They will be very competitive in conference play.
I feel the same. I’m not a basketball expert but ANY stretch of the imagination. But with my vastly undertrained eye, they look so much more solid this year. Big men actually moving like big men, getting rebounds, good spacing on the floor with ball movement, etc. For once, it looks like a team should look, not just a couple guys that get hot.
3-pointers and free throws seems to be the spots that need improvement. Which goes hand-in-hand with closing out games.

Full disclosure, I've watched 2nd half of the Colorado (they are not good) game and last 8 minutes of the Stanford game. Did not see the Denver game and have not seen any other BSC teams play. I know it's early and this may be a touch premature but imho, Logie will be on the hot seat this year! Costello will not screw around with mediocrity, dwindling attendance, lack of excitement around Men's BBall, etc. Their needs to be a quality, entertaining, winning product put on the floor. BSC is not a good basketball conference nationally and resources are in place for a winning culture to continue in Bozeman, post Sprinkle!

There it is. The first call for Logie's head. I sure hope you are wrong. I think Logie is a winner and deserves more than three years.

Danny Sprinkle finished 5th and 5th in his first two years at MSU, and Logie has finished 5th and 5th in his first two. I completely agree that unless the wheels completely fall off this year, it's very much premature to suggest that his job could be in danger. I am guessing that Leon will agree with that assessment. Remember Coach Binford who had some good teams but was never really able to get over the hump until Robin Selvig retired and the in-state rivalry swung in MSU's favor. She didn't win her first Big Sky title until Year 11 whereas Logie did it in Year 1!

I'm not "calling for his head"
Just thinking that another year of .500 in this conference will certainly have fans and AD disappointed. I'm rooting hard for Logie and hope he gets it rolling, but with a very limited sample size, haven't seen that yet! His teams just don't look tough to me. Hope I'm dead wrong! Sprinkle walked into a whole different culture.

Yes, saying that someone "will be on the hot seat this year" after watching roughly 28 minutes of basketball is definitely "rooting hard" for him.

Poster is being honest. You can root for improvement while at the same time knowing if Cats still can't finish games and be competitive with Logies guys that there will be calls for a change. They didn't say he is now bit will be if trend continues.
