MBB @ Colorado
Ladies and gentlemen, basketball season has officially arrived! The Bobcat men open their season Monday night at Colorado. The Buffs were picked 15th of 16 teams in the Big 12 preseason poll, so this could be a good chance for MSU to stay close and potentially have a shot at the upset. It will be interesting to see what the rotations look like with all the new players on the team.

Thanks for the reminder. It feels like a total restart — nothing known on which to even base a comment or question. Weird feeling.MSU01 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 02, 2025 10:11 pmLadies and gentlemen, basketball season has officially arrived! The Bobcat men open their season Monday night at Colorado. There are a ton of unknowns, and that makes it exciting too. Returning players who we do know of come in at 2. The Alaskan Assassin, Patrick McMahon and Jed the Jedi Miller. Hoping they both have rewarding final seasons. Calum Rutherford is still hanging around, maybe we will see him in action, also forgot that Jeremiah Davis did see some time before being injured last year. Other than that, the door is wide open! I'm looking forward to learning about all the young men, and seeing them become a team. Go Cats!!

I plan on being at the game. I'll give a report tomorrow.
Tad Boyle is a really good coach....I can't see CU being 15th out of 16 at the end of the season.

I am excited to see the first Logie team that is not compromised by his late hiring. The team performance picked up consistently at the end of the last two years as he morphed more fully into his preferred style of play. This team has been chosen to play that style of play and have had a full off season to practice it. It is going to be a fun ride.

While registering my vehicles the assessor stated "I have had both Cat and Griz students and alums work for me and the Griz end up working under the direction of the Cats."

Miller, Davis, McMahon, King, Mbatch? I'm only really confident in two of those five though (Miller & McMahon).

I'll guess Brown, Steppe, King, McMahon and Hodges. Pure guess. We won't see Amunrud since he's in a walking boot.

Re: MBB @ Colorado
I love it, three starter predictions and the only players not mentioned are the three true freshmen and one guy we know is out hurt.
Maybe we should have an unofficial contest to see who gets the most of their predictions correct.

Sure, as long as I'm allowed to go back and edit my guesses based on what your "predictions" are!

In other Big Sky games tonight, Idaho plays at Washington State and EWU plays at UCLA. NAU played Drake this afternoon in (for some reason) Sioux Falls, South Dakota and lost 77-71. The Griz, UNC, and Weber all play non-D1 opponents tonight.

I'm all for it if it would help this TV announcer pronounce "McMahon" correctly. I do like the new uniforms though, hopefully the women got similar ones.BelgradeBobcat wrote: ↑Mon Nov 03, 2025 8:14 pmNames on the back of the jerseys would be awfully handy right now...![]()

Re: MBB @ Colorado
First impression of this team of mostly strangers...we look like we have some nice size and nice length. Our three point guards, Miller, Holden, and Brown look pretty good. We're not getting horribly outrounded which is what usually happens when we play these teams.
