Or since she has a degree she could choose to move on. Great person, showed perseverance, but at some point don't these athletes need to move on and open the spots for the younger players.BobcatDel wrote: ↑Fri May 02, 2025 12:19 pmDon’t give up…she is still visiting schools…..at least one MWC team has expressed some level of interest. I’m right there with you hoping she lands in a good place. And I agree with MSU01 that a Frontier Conference school would get a great add with a Lexi on their team.

Of course she could choose to move on, but I would never tell a player that they NEED to do so when they've legitimately got a year of eligibility left under the current NCAA rules with no lawsuits needed to get it.tetoncat wrote: ↑Fri May 02, 2025 12:26 pmOr since she has a degree she could choose to move on. Good way to describe Lexi’s move — she said several times that she was still motivated to play, and I hope she finds exactly that. A good school, and a good team that she can have an impact on. She is a gem.

Great landing spot. Good academic school. Happy, for you Lexi, but I was primed to catch you as a Bobcat one more time around. We’ll miss you.

That's awesome, here's hoping Lexi has a great final season! CSU is a good team, they were 3rd in the Mountain West and won 22 games last year.

And they return a good core of players….returning 4 ladies that started at least 15 games for them. A lot to build on and a couple transfers making it appear they have a good season in front of them. Hope Lexi does well!

Lexi has always been one of my favorite players. I like her attitude and her mental toughness. However, I think her athleticism is not her strength, especially since she got injured. I just don’t see any way that she will get much playing time on Colorado State. Am I missing something here?

I think Lexi had developed into the Cats’ most dominant player before she was injured. I think the question is how completely she will return to her pre-injury performance.saintcat40 wrote: ↑Sun May 04, 2025 1:35 pmLexi has always been one of my favorite players. I agree with imacat….it really depends on if she recovers to her old self. When healthy she was the toughest competitor we had in the front court her junior and senior year (before injury). Besides mentally tough she was physically tough fighting for the ball and if you watched she has quick hands that were disruptive, deflected passes and caused turnovers. She had good court awareness where the ball was going.imacat wrote: ↑Sun May 04, 2025 6:07 pmI think Lexi had developed into the Cats’ most dominant player before she was injured. Before her injury, I really thought she was headed towards an “all conference” year. She was leading the team in scoring and rebounding through those 6 games. And to refresh us, those weren’t Frontier Conference games….it included BYU, Arizona State, San Jose State, North Dakota, New Mexico and James Madison. Through that span she averaged 26 minutes per game..nearly 14 points per game, over 8 rebounds per game, 43.7% from the floor and 78% from the line. To me that was worthy of conference recognition if she had been able to finish…and if she plays at that level again, she will get time for the Rams. Just my opinion.

Thanks for the reminder imacat and BobcatDel. She was so fun to watch, and I had forgotten how dominant on the floor she had become for a stretch. I wish her the best for sure!!!BobcatDel wrote: ↑Sun May 04, 2025 7:41 pmI agree with imacat….it really depends on if she recovers to her old self.
