Yes, currently one spot open pending any additional Transfer Portal entries from the current roster.

Not too surprised that Dilling went elsewhere after MSU signed Mullins and Davis.

FYI the transfer portal closes tomorrow April 30th. It only affects players wishing to enter the portal to transfer. Players who are already in the portal are still able to sign with a new team after April 30th.

BTW I hear the Griz are very involved with Idaho>Utah State transfer Nigel Burris. Burris holds an offer from the Bobcats & visited the this weekend.

Seemed fairly unlikely that Burris would come here after BJ Kolly committed. Glad he didn't go to the Griz!

Not sure why that would matter, currently the Bobcats have only 3 true big men (if you count Lecholat) on its 24-25 roster. One would think he would have enough confidence in his ability to compete. Is the Weber State big man situation/playing time really better for him?

Weber is a much better spot for Burris imo. Weber is probably the better landing spot for Burris based on who he is as a player as well. VerbalCommits shows Weber having 3 true centers but only having 2 players (Dyson Koehler and 1 incoming freshman to play the 3 and the 4 positions). Burris is the day 1 starting power forward with no real competition.

Still really wish Cats could land a young center who is 6’10+

Is Kolly not young enough for you, or is the problem that he can play multiple positions?

Preferably one who can also play basketball well, because MSU has recruited plenty of 6'10"+ freshmen who couldn't and were out of the program within a year or two. Unless Bryce Zephir can give MSU production similar to what they've had from Darius Brown and Robert Ford, I still see PG as the biggest need area unless a "unicorn" big man falls into their laps.

I’m not sure why anyone would think that being able to play multiple positions is a bad thing? Kolly is a great get don’t get me wrong. I would argue that his skill set day 1 is potentially worthy of a starting spot over Walker. I would just like to see more depth at the 5

As it stands right now, the cats have 4-5 guys to take the ball up and could be scorers too (Jed, Zephir, Trap Johnson, Jeremiah Davis, McMahon).
Cats have 3 guys to play the 5 (Kolly, Walker, Lecholat). Sam, based on size alone, should only be playing the 5 if Logie purposely wants to play small or the other 2 are in foul trouble. Depth at the 4-5 is never a bad thing.

Also true. Based on the Kolly signing, I would think the coaching staff is pretty satisfied with their 4/5 spot. Zephir looks like a bucket and will probably be one of the guys who’s tasked to get a bucket when it’s absolutely needed (add Patrick if he’s healthy, Kolly/Walker, and Goracke). I don’t think this team is limited in guys who can score at will.

Another thing on Kolly based on my last reply. All the tape I’ve watched on him shows the exact skill set that Walker has, plus size and better ball handling. When was MSU arguably the best this year? When they had a center (Big John) who was willing to set screens, move the ball, and take advantage of the pick-and-roll game. Maybe Kolly has that too, I sure hope so. But the cats played some of their worst ball when they had Walker dominate their possessions.

What about 6'11' redshirt freshman Callum Rutherford?

For what it is worth, I noticed that during the Cats' tournament run at the end of the season he was sporting a stylish John Olmsted-like mustache.
