His best player at Point Loma was a 6'8" guy from the Seattle area. I'm pretty sure he's out of eligibility as he looked about 35 years old.

Is this a possibility to get a MT kid. Is there room for a walk on.

I wonder if the College of Idaho will try and sign him? They have a ton of Montana kids on their roster.

Royce is a really good player, many of us in Central MT have watched him since he was a little guy. He will be a solid frontier conference player or D2 at MSUB. However, he doesn't have the ball handling skills or the height to play guard in the Big Sky. He sometimes struggled against tall defenders and has tunnel vision when seeing the floor. I'd love to see him go to NMC as I am a retired alumnus, but I wouldn't be surprised if he tries the JC route and develop more.

They had 2 last year and signed Peoples this year.

Any NAIA school would be crazy to not try and get Royce. He's a lock at that level. Personally I think he could be a stud at the D2 level. MSU-B should be all over him. Seems like there are so many different variables that come into play at the D1 level. A lot more for MT kids to overcome. I don't even attempt to speculate on if a MT kid can play at that level anymore unless they are a lock such as Worster.

Handran--Scobey
Wyman--Gt. Falls
Germer--Missoula
Peoples--Butte

They do a pretty decent job recruiting Montana. The kid from Wyoming interests me.

I forgot Germer committed there for next year. So, ya 2 last year, 4 this coming year. Colby has a huge in with the MT kids through his coaching the Select Bball 16U "A" Team.

I'm thinking we are still trying to land another F/C type of player with that one remaining scholarship.

Anyone know who the other big guy is? Walker is an unbelievable get! Visions of Sir Charles with some meat on his bones there!

The roster is full! It's definitely going to be an interesting year in the Big Sky, a whole lot of question marks after so many of the top players from last year transferred out of the league. Weber seems to be the pretty clear favorite at this point after Dillon Jones withdrew from the draft and returned for his last year. After that, who knows...

What a process this has been! All these guys were looking for an opportunity, let's hope they make the most of it. I have heard some really good things about Coach L from friends that have met him. Now, time to begin recruiting the class of 24. Good things to continue for the CATS.

I think he is a very good coach. I just don't think he will have much success this year. Hoping for year 3.

Agreed, Coach Sprinkle went 16-15 in his first year and had the advantage of having Jubrile Belo and Harald Frey on the roster as holdover recruits from the previous coaching staff. Logie did a nice job patching the massive holes on the roster and hopefully a few of those guys turn into quality Big Sky players. I'm also very interested to see the returning players like McMahon, Lecholat, and Miller can do with presumably more playing time next year. McMahon in particular looked very promising prior to his injury last year.

On the other hand, Danny had zero head coaching experience when hired but showed marked improvement during his tenure. Matt has over a decade of head coaching experience. I expect a better first season than Danny's.

While registering my vehicles the assessor stated "I have had both Cat and Griz students and alums work for me and the Griz end up working under the direction of the Cats."

Does that mean he decommitted to Carroll and is now going to MSU?
