Sac is not looking like a great team this year. The game is in BZN so I will take the cats by 10!

Out-of-state so watching on Big Sky TV. Cats up 10 at the half. Sac is zoning and MSU is shooting lots of threes. So far quite a few have gone in.

In the first half the cats look like they are the better team! That may be because the shots are falling will they continue to fall? Sac is not good enough to defend the Cats (That feels good to say for once) so I say yes and we will get the win.

Cats get a 70-55 win! Nice conference opener. NAU next on Saturday.

Salley would have been a nice player for us, but the big guys we currently have are just as good or better...when they show up. Sac needs to unleash Garrity. He's way too unselfish.

This game had a really nice feel to it. The offense seemed to flow quite a bit, and they did quite well from three point range. The numbers for the game were 13-29 from three point range. It was a great effort from beyond the arc and it might be worth that free cheeseburger. But there is one thing that does concern me a bit here. It works great to get more than half of the team's points when the threes are falling. The inside presence needs a little more work. I think Danny Robison and Michael Dison had nice games offensively. The offensive scoring was well balanced. Overall, this game was fun to watch. I know it's one game, but hey, a win is a win! It's always a good feeling to get that first one in conference play. Let's see how it's going to go against NAU on Saturday...they got a road win in Missoula.

And oh yeah, for kicks and giggles, the Cats are in first place.

I really liked the balance and composure I saw from MSU tonight. The 13 3s were the key, but I noticed there weren't a lot of bad shots being taken by too many players. MSU didn't gimmick Garrity or McKinney, but played grindstone D and took advantage of contributions from Danny Robison and Antonio Biglow, along with rising star Stephan Holm. More later, working on blog in a few.

Great start with a good win. Let's go out and beat NAU on Saturday! I feel better about this team than any of the teams Coach Huse has put on the floor. I hope this starts a new pattern for MSU basketball.

This team seems to have more chemistry than any Huse lead team I can think of. Which isn't saying much, but they seem to play pretty well together. At times they have really clicked, others they have been lackadaisical out there.

Crap, did I just get optimistic about men's bball again? I'm only going to get hurt!
