Usually the rule of thumb is that it takes a year or so for a new 1st time D-1 assistant to make his presence felt on the recruiting trail, but newly hired Bobcat assistant coach Chris Haslam is paying BIG time early dividends.
The Bobcats have landed their 2nd Euro big man commit in 6-9 Kavell Bigby-Williams from Harris Academy (UK) (his high school)/Lewisham Thunder (his club team). Bigby-Williams played on the England U18 National team this past summer. While previous Bobcat commit 7-0 Bradly Fisher is a traditional low post big man Bigby-Williams is an very athletic PF/C who take the ball out to the perimeter. He also seems to have the ability to have some monster rebounding and shot blocking games. Here is a very short video of him

It is hard for me to judge how a foreign player talents will translate to the NCAA D-1 level until he/she shows up in Bozeman and plays against D-1 competition but as Mick Durham said when he signed the late great Al Beye (and JC bench player) "In the Big Sky we just do not get that many chances to sign a big man with that level of athleticism, so when they come along you sign them).
BTW The down side of recruiting Foreign players is that sometimes their high school transcripts and/or club team run afoul of the NCAA regulations, so keep that in mind.
Just to close out. The Bobcats should have 1 more scholarship to offer this fall. If they get another commit look for it to be a perimeter player it appears they are looking hard for a high school small forward or a point guard.

Looks like an athletic looking lefty. Maybe kind of raw. An intriguing prospect for sure. Like you said-hopefully all the paperwork comes through on these guys. It's always a question.

Sounds like the type of player MSU desperately needs, but let's just hope he doesn't get Fall'd somehow by the NCAA.
