Well that first half was pretty much what I was expecting. Now I'm going to go back to pretending that basketball doesn't exist.

Selfish, ballhogging basketball. Rarely do they pass the ball around, but when they do they score. Same old craptastic adventure that is MSU basketball.

Well I came home early to catch this, against my better judgment. And now I'm leaving early, because this isn't worth my time.
Huse needs to go.

Re: MBB/WBB Cat-griz II
The team came out not ready to play. They seemed surprised that the griz would have the audacity to shoot from outside. Three after three rained down. On the other hand, Huse's offensive scheme requires one of our players to take on 3 guys and throw up a circus shot. We were done when Paul Egwuonwu got two cheap fouls in the first minute or two-it was game over right there.
Flavian Davis pulled out the game of his life, scoring 30 points. But the effort was wasted as nobody else could make a stupid layup. Next game somebody else will have the game of their life and Davis will have 2. It goes like this with this team. They simply can't all play well at the same time.
Our radio guy, who I know has to keep it positive, raved about the 4500 in attendance and talked about silver linings. I almost had to pull over and puke. Tell it like it is. This program is a dumpster fire. Tonight's crowd could have easily fit in the Belgrade Special Events Center with room to spare. Pretty soon we'll just hold our games in Shroyer-why heat up the Fieldhouse. Save money. Fields is jacking up the football ticket prices-well he'd better lower the basektball ticket prices. Next season the griz fans might out number the Bobcat fans in Bozeman.
Yeah we got close at the end. The griz started to play not-to-lose that was the only reason it got close. Maybe Tinkle felt sorry for his buddy Brad. He's beaten him so bad over the years-he's like a boxer begging the ref to stop the fight so he doesn't have to beat the guy some more.
Two more games next week. Probably two more losses (we've now lost 4 in a row at home). Then hopefully the season will be over. But with our luck we'll back into tournament and get to be pounded by the griz or Weber in the first round. Oh happy days!

I've enjoyed reading the posts on this site for the most part. But as an admitted Huse fan this one bothers me. Offensive system requiring 3 on 1? Sarcastic or not, c'mon. Tinkle going easy in his old buddy? Get real. Hoping they lose because they might get drilled in the first round? Not much of a fan.BelgradeBobcat wrote:The team came out not ready to play. The two fouls on Egwu early didn't help. Once MSU got after DeShields (or he quit asserting himself) things swung in MSU's favor. I think other than each other UM and WSU fear MSU more than any other team, if the Cats can make the tourney.
MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Belgrade, you have made it very clear where you stand...the horse is dead, put down the stick.

Re: MBB/WBB Cat-griz II
We are all frustrated with the present state of the program, but I am still going to renew my season tickets and I am still going to support the program. GO BOBCATS!!!
