Well I just was told there is a press conference in Idaho today and in Bozeman, I keep fighting it but I now believe that Krames is gone. So shed your tear and remember the good times.

NOW we need to make sure we get the right man for the job. I am not convinced that Van Diest is that guy, I know everybody is entitled to there own opinion but I think we need to look outside of the box (box being Montana connected). I am sure that Fields will be looking outside of Montana, and inside but we need someone that can promote the program alot like Kramer did. Everytime after I heard him talk I felt like we ruled the world. We need that energy combined with great coaching skills as our next HC.

We also need someone that is personable both with players and fans. I gained a lot of respect for Kramer because he was always ON, you could never catch him off guard. See him eating someplace and say hi and you left with the same feeling after a booster breakfast.

We don't need to rush this process as we aren't going to get it done by Friday and then the home visits go on break. So lets take a week or so and find the right guy.

Just my feelings.

I think this has been covered in about a dozen other threads.

19Cat,

Why did you start an entire new thread over something that already has about 10 threads?
Geeshh...use your head!

My guess is that he posted a new topic in regards to the formal announcements today. This is fairly big news and probably deserves its own thread versus being stuck in one of the other ten.

Boy, people are touchy around here today. Wonder why, anybody heard anything? ;)

So if I get an official announcement that Kramer is leaving, should I post it here or one of the other threads, or do I create a whole new thread! I don't want to piss anyone else!

If you cry because of Kramer, then you need help. He was a good coach, but not a great coach. There are alot better coaches out there, and hopefully we get one of them. I kind of hope he goes to Idaho, maybe he can change that program, but we need a National Championship, and I don't think Kramer could take us that far. You won't see tears from this BOBCAT FAN.

This topic does have the advantage of being relevant and immediate, however.

Because as of 12:34, there are 23 threads about the coaching position on the first page of Bobcat Athletics, most of which is regurgitated from another thread.

Oh yeah, press conference at 3pm.

Is that official? Has there been any formal announcement of the press conference?

As per Idaho press conference (for those not listening to the Sports Nuts)...high interest in the job; want to narrow the list down and will start bringing in the most qualified candidates

Well I heard it from a friend of a friend of Kramer's nephew's Grandpa on his mother's side. That's about as official as it can get. (Actually there is no press conference, I was mocking people who are taking second and third hand gossip as fact.)

The press conference they are replaying is the one from yesterday afternoon, which I linked to yesterday, so I would think that they have moved forward from what he was willing to say then.

I see. I personally want to hear what other people are hearing ... especially since I am pretty sure some of it is good information ... and not something off-the-wall.
