Could there be more to Erickson's departure?

I was thinking this morning if there is possibly more to him leaving. With the recent history of that program, I'm curious if he didn't get there and perhaps it was more then he bargained for in terms of re-building that program.
I have no proof of anything so I won't provide any insinuations. But, if Krames is offered the job, I do hope he really looks at all aspects to make sure it's what he wants and not just leave for the money.

I think the quote from Erickson to the Idaho player saying he "had to take the job, at ASU he has a chance at winning a national championship" pretty much said it all.

Pretty much says it. Remember when he arrived at Miami Lubick and the rest of the old MSU bunch and they were blown away at the size, speed and strength of the team after having gone 9-2 at WAZZU? Jankovich dangled the "National Championship" carrot in front of his nose and no coach can resist, if they're good coaches. I still think Spear screwed him on his evaluation just to cover his hind end.
