Hire Pete Kwiatkowski as the head coach. Keep Coach Christoff as DC. Hire a good OC.

Coach K is the man. If not...consider Coach Christoff.

I started to write my response thinking along the "if Kramer leaves we need a guy exactly like him" train of thought. Well, the Big Human is hard to replicate, so we should probably acknowledge that right now. I like Pete's knowledge of Montana State, and he would be my favorite assistant/ former assistant if we were to go that route.

Both coaches are player favorites. I am a big Coach Kramer fan....but the rah rah is not the only way to skin a cat. Just believing in your coach makes a big difference. Not one 1st Team all-conference player defensively this year.....but a tough ### D:!:

Throw my name in the hat for Kwiatkowski. That would be absolutely awesome if we get him. I'd like to see us get all good candidates. So far Pete K and Van Diest fit that bill.

Could be tough to get him. I imagine the bonus to assistants for leading a team to a BCS game is pretty big.

Money aside, I have heard that Coach K doesn’t want to be a head coach. He likes coaching, but he doesn’t like public speaking, schmoozing with boosters, talking with the media, etc. I don’t think Coach K sees himself as becoming a head coach.

Yup.
Montana State IS what "they" think Montana is.
