BSC Honors

The article on the ASU web site points out something interesting
http://www.goasu.com/article/9853/
Where they say "The Bobcats, who had only one player named to the All-Big Sky Conference first team (receiver Mike Jefferson), have made the most of what they have."
Are the other BSC coaches saying they are pissed that MSU got selected to the playoffs. Is it sour grapes by them and they decided to blank us, or are our players just middle of the pack guys and we play as a team for our success?
To me, it seems they think we should have come in last place in the league??

If we only had one 1st teamer....I think that means Kramer should have been Coach of the Year.

Thanks for the article. I like the title..."Montana State is a Bit of a Mystery" That's what makes us so dangerous against ASU. You know the pressure is more on them. It's going to be a fun game to watch.

No, it's not a bunch of middle of the pack kids. We have over 30 kids in our program who chose along with their parents to come to Bozo and work with our coaching staff who had BCS school scholarship offers AND there's a great deal of jealousy out there directed to the program Coach is building.

I completely agree with you, I'm still just a little steamed at the other coaches and was wondering if I was alone. This was a huge blackball that they did. I can understand the Griz coach for recuiting, but what about some of our players. For example, Daily was 3rd in the league in tackles and only honorable mention. Force was only 2nd team??
The Griz OL tackle made first string? ......
I do think the 3 Griz DEs desired it, they were very good, but
Only one 1st teamer for MSU, and limited 2nd teamers?? WOW

I wonder if any of the coaches knowing they weren't going to be back affected the voting as well maybe? Lewis and Moshigan know before hand?

I wonder if PSU's coach was a little bitter?

I wonder how many of the Bobcats actually care. I bet those guys from PSU would trade their first team status to play in the FCS. All Conference Honors are great, but playoffs and championships are better.

Yep, T E A M. None of the other players would be where they are if it wasn't for the TEAM anyway. Pretty bad if you based your voting on sour grapes though as these kids work hard putting in the training/effort out there.

Point is, the Coach of the year is the one that does the best coaching. If you have 20 1st and 2nd team all conference players, you don't need to do much coaching to win 8.
If you only have 1 or 2 1st or 2nd team all conference players (less than any other team) you must have done one hell of a job to get into the playoffs and win 8 games.
Kramer should be the guy (or the voting for all conference was off).
I guess the coaches should have voted for Lewis (they had multiple BSC players).

You don't need to do much coaching? How many college football games have you coached?
And maybe Hauck is responsible for a lot of those players being all-conference quality.

Not a coach at all.
And I do think Bobby did a good job. I didn't say he didn't.
Maroon colored glasses I believe is helping you miss the point I was making, which is OK and understandable.
enjoy

Seeing how I'm a Bobcats fan, I would hardly be wearing maroon colored glasses.

Sorry then.
Point was MSU should have had more All conference plays in the 1st and 2nd teams. Or the players/team performed at a higher level than the talent should have (thus superior coaching).
If a team is picked to come in 1st, does, and the games are closer than they were suppose to be and they have the majority of the big sky players, that is not "Coach of the Year", that is "Coach of the Winning Team of the year" award.

A team that handily wins a first-round playoff game, you would assume there would be more all-conference players than two.
