Washington Grizzly Stadium Seating

I asked this in another post, but haven't seen a response. Does anyone know how feasible it is to get all the Cat fans sitting in the same area? Is there a reserved section for Cat Fans? I know my ticket is from a Griz season ticket holder so I'm guessing I'll be camped out in a God-Awful sea of maroon, but how strict are they on moving seats?

Things will be pretty strict. It will come down to talking another fan into trading seats because there will be no empty seats.
I would talk to your fellow cat fans, in the section(s) they are in and see if you can squeeze in, I think that is your only bet.
Unless there are complaints, I don't think security will be checking tickets to see if you are in the right seat.

It is definitely strict. For the past several years we have gone to the Cat/Griz game in Missoula. The ushers are looking at every ticket and will not let you in a section if your ticket does not state that you should be in there. We have found that if you wait until half way through the third quarter, they lax the rules and you can squeeze in with the Cat boosters. Besides, that is the most important time for Cat fans to be sitting together anyway, when we beat them again and the team comes over to the boosters after the game. What a rush!!

The vast majority of seating is reserved. (Over 18,000 season tickets) This just doesn’t leave an area for the cats to congregate.

I guess we should look to break the Griz fans up next year too. Put a third with the students, and third in the endzone and a sixth at each end of the booster section

I've preached this on this board several times but in the end it won't matter. I'd be willing to bet that almost half of the Pepsi Zone season tickets are sold to griz fans who are willing to pay almost the same price for season tickets as they would to purchase a single Cat/griz ticket come November.

Could you better explain your problem? teh Griz have 23,500 seats. 4,000 are reserved for students. 18,000+ are season tickets. That leaves around 1,500 - 1,800 game day tickets, including a few hundred seats reserved for visitors right above the visitors bench in teh North west corner, and the rest spread out in teh stadium, primarily in teh south end zone.
I am unclear what you suggest the Griz do to treat you more fairly - should Griz season ticket holders give up the seats they have held all season? If a season ticket holder gives up his ticket should another ticket holder be moved from their seat to have a contiguous block of seats? I don't understand your complaint - there is a block of seats together for the visitors, Cat fans get more tickets than the reserved block, but they are where the non-season ticket seats are in the stadium. Maybe the solution is to limit Cat ticket sales only to the visitor section, then all Cat fans at the game can sit together.

We already do break the Griz fans up...some in the end zone, and others all the way down at the other end in the normal visiting section. IMO, UM and MSU shouldn't need to change their season ticket policies for one game every two years for which the demand for visiting fan tickets is much, much higher than usual.

My solution has been to invite a cat fan to the game but the cat fan I invited is to much of a wimp to show!

All I know is that two years ago the ticket office offered me the chance to buy two tickets. this year I didn't get the offer. So the number has obviously been reduced so that the cut off is above my booster level. $1250/yr

The word I got was that all boosters at the $1350 and up level would be getting letters offering them two seats at the game. Several of my friends received this offer and have already received their tickets in the mail. After the boosters, the rest of our tickets went to students, family, staff, etc. I heard that we received fewer tickets than normal but I can't verify that fact and am not sure what our total allocation was.

The student tickets that I have are for section 111 in the west corner which is used for single game seating.

It's probably for the best keeping the student sections on opposite sides of the field

Cats get that little corner near their entrance and the south endzone.

So just section 111?
