QB Situation vs Sac St

Unlike reports earlier this week, todays Chronicle says Carpenter is out 3-4 weeks and will not suit up today. I guess we'll have to wait until game time to find out, but if it's true I hope to hell Rolo doesn't get hurt. I'd hate to have to burn Rasmussens redshirt.

This has been discussed in other threads this week, but I was surprised to read today that Carp would not suit up.

I was afraid of that. Is Desin redshirting this year? Could he take a snap or two just in case Rolo needs a break?

If Rasmussen has to play, he can still redshirt next year, should Carpenter and Rolovich remain healthy. The redshirt year doesn't have to be the first year.

As far as Desin or Rasmussen playing, who made the trip? Both? Don't 3 QBs usually make the trip?

Carp was in a boot during walkthru in the parkin lot of the hotel this afternoon. I'd say he is a no go for todays game.

Rasmussen made the trip, but Kramer made it clear that he doesn't want to burn his redshirt unless absolutely necessary. Lewis or Jefferson would go in as the 3rd QB, if necessary.

I would sure hate to see Rasmussen lose his redshirt. He is going to be a dynamite QB. If Jake Locker would not have committed to Washington, Jordon Rasmussen would have surely been offered a scholarship with the Huskies. He was highly touted in HS, I think he missed some of his senior season with an injury. We were lucky to get him in my opinion.

Funny or not, that's what was reported in todays Chronicle.

What about BEACH? He was an all-stater in High School. He looks like a great athlete all the way around.

Listening to pre-game, Carpenter is suited up, but wearing a soft cast.

Attebury just said that Rasumussen and Rolo were warming up and Carpenter was in a sweatshirt.

I am excited to see what Rolovich can do. It seems like Rolo is chomping the bit to show his stuff. Also, it sounds like almost everyone is healthy except for Cory. Two stud TB's! when is the last time we had that? I am just praying that Rolo stays healthy and we don't have to find out what Coach Kramer will do if he goes down.

This is typical of IAA football and especially the BSC, a game of attrition.

Kick ass tonight cats!!!
