So far he is 0 for 5 in picking the outcome of Cat games this season, so I guess this one is in the bag, good job Cats.
No. 15 Portland State (3-2, 2-1) at Montana State (2-3, 1-1), 3:35
I’ll be the first to admit that I have no idea what to make of this Montana State team. The Bobcats beat I-A Colorado and No. 25 Northern Arizona, yet lost to Division II Chadron State (who is 5-0) and Eastern Washington, who is 1-4 and owns home losses to Central Washington and Sacramento State. The Bobcats are 2-0 on the road and 0-3 at home, and just scored 39 points at Northern Arizona after notching 10 combined points in the previous two games. While it’s hard to say which team shows up here, last week’s 39-32 win at Northern Arizona might have at least been a breakthrough for a few players. Running back Aaron Mason averaged eight yards per carry while rushing for 192 yards and two scores, and wide receiver Michael Jefferson showed he can be an elite player with a 12-catch, 239-yard effort. The Bobcat defense gave up a lot of points, but did an adequate job against the Lumberjack running game. Montana State has been too up-and-down this year to say this performance will turn the corner, but the offense at least has a few reliable players stepping forward and shouldn’t stumble as badly as it did during the three-game losing skid at home. Even though the unit is better, the matchup with Portland State is still not a favorable one. The Viking defense just might be the best in the country. They have good overall numbers considering a schedule that has included New Mexico, Cal and Montana, and lead the nation with 19 turnovers forced. Every aspect of the unit is solid, and the defense can pose problems for a Montana State offense that has turned it over 11 times. Portland State’s offense has not enjoyed the same type of success by any means, but that unit could be stabilizing. Starting quarterback Sawyer Smith and running back Mu’Ammar Ali could both be ready to return from injury this week. Even if Smith isn’t back, Colorado transfer Brian White should be able to provide more punch for the offense after a full week with the team. Bobcat fans can take comfort in the fact that I have not correctly predicted a Montana State game this season, because I’ll go against them here against a Portland State team with a great defense and an offense that has a more encouraging outlook than it did a week ago. Prediction: Portland State 24, Montana State 13

I really hope Matt keeps his record intact in his MSU picks this weekend.
I'll be really upset if he blows his 100% wrong streak.
