Headed to Bozeman mayyyyybe
Greeting folks Iam thinking about coming to the game this weekend what kind of weather can I expect cold, rain, snow.
You all have a grass field right? If it rains will the field be muddy and sloopy or does your field hold up pretty good and is the footing good for the players. I donot want to go to the mud bowl like I did last year at Eastern Washington.
Go Vikes!

It drains pretty good and hasn't been played on for 2 weeks by the time the Vikes come so it should hold up at least 2-3 quarters I would bet. However, both teams have some major BEEF on the OL/DL so who knows. I think most of the time it gets muddy is when it has frozen and has a top frozen layer that kills the grass and then gets ground in etc. It seems like the last 2-3 games it has rained the field has held up pretty nicely.Vikepower wrote:Greeting folks Iam thinking about coming to the game this weekend what kind of weather can I expect cold, rain, snow.

The second to last sentence in Cardiac_Cats post is exactly how the fields were for the Cat/Griz game last year and they're still not done whining about it (ha ha grizinWA).Vikepower wrote:GrizinWashington wrote:Ask any Griz fan how the field holds up under rain.
Iam not sure what that means ask any Grizz fan?

Vike, it was a self-deprecating joke about how we Griz fans complained about MSU's field during the Griz/Cat game last year. It was a bog with white lines painted on it.Vikepower wrote:GrizinWashington wrote:Ask any Griz fan how the field holds up under rain.

Sounds like you all could use some field turf. UM has it why havent you all gotten it. Is it a step brother thing in that state.

Obviously you never attended last year. It wasn't rain it was frozen layer of snow on top and then a beautiful Sunny day (warmest day of all the games last year pretty much by about halftime .. in November --> CRAZY). It rained before the UC Davis game as well and the NDSU game last year. If its a steady rain it does just fine. The snow later in the year when the grass is dying is when it gets bad (frozen tundra melts).GrizinWashington wrote:Ask any Griz fan how the field holds up under rain.

Why doesn't PSU have its own stadium? Southern Oregon has one. Is it step brother thing in that state?Vikepower wrote:GrizinWashington wrote:Vike, it was a self-deprecating joke about how we Griz fans complained about MSU's field during the Griz/Cat game last year. But off the record,

Hell, the field will be pure mud!! I would worry if I was the PSU team showing up about my shoes getting muddy. And if I was a fan, I would stay home in my warm house and watch. No reason to get wet, cold and muddy just to watch a loss.Vikepower wrote:Greeting folks Iam thinking about coming to the game this weekend what kind of weather can I expect cold, rain, snow.

We don't want it-- we have the real deal-- the original-- the Rembrandt handing on the wall, while Um has the Walmart version.Vikepower wrote:GrizinWashington wrote:Vike, it was a self-deprecating joke about how we Griz fans complained about MSU's field during the Griz/Cat game last year.
