Just got back to Hippyville, checked the Bobcat Athletics page, and saw in the game notes that Kory Austin's injury ended up being a hip pointer, and he should be available for the Portland State game. From what I know, a hip pointer is very, very painful, but if nothing ends up tearing (which I assume it didn't), he can receive therapy (along with a cortisone injection pre-game) this week to deal with the pain and should be okay to go. I would guess that he won't get the start, but will play. This is very good news - we can't afford to lose anyone else at the corner spot. Some true freshman had better be ready to get fed to the wolves this week, though, because I would bet they will get some significant playing time.
Cheers, Kory! Wishes of good, quick healing from all Bobcats!
Even better news!!!
