NAU LAST in Total Defense.

NAU is currently LAST in total defense in the BSC right now. This should be a true test for our offense and Bailey. Also, last in pass defense. The bad news is that I am sure that their DC has picked up on Bailey's easily deciphered tendencies. Have heard through many that Bailey is the easiest in the BSC to gameplan against. He is predictable and unimaginative...however I hope he will be "creative" this week. GO CATS!

He he has looked at this board today, I bet he has been looking at a lot of new play options.

And who are "these many people" that claim Coach Bailey is the easiest in the whole league to game plan against? Just curious. Name 2 teams over the last 3 years that have a better record and better offensive production than our Cats.

Exactly .. who did you hear that from? I would think with Lulay under center the last 3-4 years and his explosiveness MSU would have been on of the HARDEST teams to prepare for that fact alone.

If the Cats don't get on track.......that's my concern. You can bet that Jerome has "60-14" taped to the locker room wall as a reminder of the last time the Cats came over.

That has crossed my mind a few times, hope it doesn't come down to NAU running the clock out in the fourth because that probably won't happen.

Actually I don't think Jerome would run it up... we didn't, and he knows that. We put in the 2nd and 3rd stringers as soon as the game was out of reach for them - just like you did against Sac. last weekend. I think the one we stole from them in 03 at our place ws probably more painful for them... still the greatest comeback I've ever seen.

YES!! Thinking about that game makes me smile. Watching the people who left come running back trying to see what happend was classic. That was one day where Lulay carved his name into Bobcat History!

That was one of the great games in Bobcat history to pull out 10 down with less than 2 minutes of go. Scott Turnquist and an onside kick recovery by Corey Smith were also great moments. I didn't leave early that afternoon and I really enjoyed people running back into the stadium.

One of my friends left early to go down to the Cannery early and get a seat. HE DID NOT BELIEVE ME WHEN I TOLD HIM WE WON THAT GAME. Greatest game I have every witnessed hands down. It was AWESOME.

Speaking oc Corey he probably has the 2 most memorable plays against the griz ever, the on side kick in 03 and then his senior year taking the opening kickoff to the house!!!

Plus wern't we down like 17 I thought with 4-6 minutes to go as well. Awesome comeback. Onside kick was a thing of beauty and on a roller (I have never seen a kick roll like that since I have been watching football). The NAU guys was in shock waiting for it to bounce and it just rolled rolled rolled ... SCOOPED up by SMITH! FIRST DOWN BOBCATS!! :) :) :)

NAU will be the most surprising and improved team in the Sky this season. They are much better than people think. Do not be fooled by their two losses to IA teams. The were ahead of ASU at halftime.

Murietta has looked very good in his senior season. They finally have some good receivers for him to throw to, unlike like season. They will be a competitive test for all Big Sky teams.

Okay Bailey had the best QB in MSU history and best RB in MSU history. Now he has good but not great players and his offense is terrible. We have scored 29 points against D-I schools this year. Where is Bailey sweet play calling now that he doesn’t have any outstanding offensive weapons to fall back on? I remember when he would give Johnson the ball 30 times a game because he couldn't come up with any other effective plays, and then he would pass the ball 50 times a game with Lulay because he couldn't come up with anything else that was effective. Bailey had luck more than anything else- he had Johnson in 2001 & 2002 and then Lulay from 2003-2005 (Lulay was a true freshman in 2002, and not as effective as he would be the following three seasons). Now he doesn’t have a HUGE play maker so he is in trouble. I am sure that he had his fingers crossed that someone would emerge and save him, but it hasn't happened and with every passing week it sure doesn't seem like it will happen.

Completeky agree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bailey is a struggling man. Also, if he is so great why haven't any schools come for him. Why do we keep him? Please someone share the answer.

It is funny, we Griz fans are asking the same questions about Phenicie. Maybe we should just trade OCs and give them a fresh start at another school? NOT!

Hmmm....an OC that puts the balll in their star players hands a lot during the game. You're right GW, that's terrible playcalling, let's fire him now.
