COACH K

Well, after the past six years of being around cat football, realistically what has Kramer done? 3 decent years, not good but decent, and three terrible years (possibly the fourth on the way) just curious what others thought of Kramer. I would think in any other place but Bozeman he would have been long gone by now with one playoff showing in six years!

I don't think you can say any other place, there are several Big Sky teams that would love even one playoff appearance. We do have high expectations, and after the season plays out need to analyze his performance for this year with the high hopes he seemed to have all summer.

Exactly! If we want to be a winning organization, there needs to be the winning attitude! Not a, well, that sucks maybe next year.

Coach K may not have won as many games as some of us would have liked him to win, but he has brought this program from the depths of hell and put it on the map again.
What he has done for this program deserves the utmost respect - regardless of what is happening on the field these last 2 weeks.
Win this week coach. Take 'em one game at a time and lets try and save this season... all is not lost yet

How about with two playoff appearances? Does that change the math?

In my minds eye, Kramer needs to get to 7-4 to stay off the hot seat.

I dream of the day when we have a prgram that expects to exeed 7-4. I know this year that seems the goal, but, what do we have to do to build a program exceeds 7-4?

Coach Kramer gets a pass from me this year, even if the team ends up quitting and the season tanks. Replacing Travis Lulay has clearly been too much of a task, and losing Evin Groves the past two weeks hasn't exactly helped things.
So, any record for me this season is fine. IF things continue to go south this year, next year will be a very curious year for the head coach. I'm sure he knows this though, and I'm sure he'll get the young men back to playing Bobcat football sooner than later.

Only once before in the history of Bobcat football have we had four consecutive winning seasons and there are those that want to start firing coaches

Geeezzzzz, I hate the spread but even I wouldn't fire Bailey just because he won't run the damn ball

And besides, we're 1-2 right now. Better than two years ago when we spun out of control the end of the season! THAT season broke my heart. I can still see that dang EWU game as if it were yesterday.

He did bring this program out of the depths and put us back on the map. I look at the stadium being just about full every week now. A big crowd was under 8,000 before. I look at the parking lots and all the tailgating! Huge improvement. The level of talent has increased substantially.
I think he has done a good job rebuilding this program. I am not giving up on him because of these past two weeks. I saw first hand what this team is capable of down in Colorado. I also, understand we have a lot of new players in key postions and coaches also in new positions. The result is what your seeing and that's inconsistency. We have a long way to go in this season and I think Coach Kramer will get it turned around starting this week.

I think Coach K needs to stick close to home this week and mind the store. I don't understand why he travels so much during the season leaving game preparation largely to a bunch of assistants of which some are new to the program or just flat-out green. It's largely up to him if he wants to leave a positive footprint on the program. He also might need to leave a negative footprint on the sorry asses of some of his coaches and players. All that said, I still like Mike.

If Kramer couldn't find a replacement for Lulay in 4 years, than I seriously question his recruiting abilities. Kramer also promised us that Taito was a "stud" and that sure hasn't been the case so far. These are just a few things that have left me scratching my head.

I don't think he's too bad of a recruiter. I think this team is second only to UM in getting tryouts for its players. It's way too early IMO to rate Taito. He's coming off a hamstring pull and only has 20 carries. I think he has more yards and less fumbles in his first 20 carries than Groves had. This team is loaded with talent, so Kramer could be accused of not coaching them up very well. If the QB comes around, this team will be fine. The QB played great vs. Colorado and we won. He's been subpar in the other two and we lost. On this particular team, I think the QB sets up everything. I didn't think so at the beginning of the year. I think if he gets going, confidence will soar and everyone will be playing better.

I'm with Swilly. The "K" is reserved for hard to pronounce names, like Krzyzewski or Krystkowiak.
If one cannot pronounce Kramer, that's just sad.

He's a true freshman who had injury problems in fall camp. I'll give him a few seasons before I assess his career.
Sheesh. Tough crowd.

It would also help if we could run the ball more and block more effectively.
