Bad Luck - Remedy it this week!

Post by CelticCat » Mon Sep 18, 2006 3:18 pm

Okay, so let's get down the real issue why the Cats aren't winning. Forget about coaching, execution, what have you.

VS. Chadron, I had a friend from Helena (Griz alum) come to the game, he wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Well he was obviously bad luck. IN fact, he went to tailgate briefly right before Rolovich came in, so he wasn't in the stadium when we had that TD drive. Soon as he got back, it got ugly again.

Against Davis, my parents were in town (Dad is Griz alum though he does a good job cheering for the Cats), but I sat with them on the booster side. Everytime I stood up to cheer, I would look around and realize I was the only one doing it. So my cheering was very cautious.

Also, because of the guests, I didn't get to wear my lucky MSU cape either week. That cape is 1-0, and I think it is about time I bust it out for conference.

MM7 said on the tailgate thread that the women were the bad luck.

So anyone with any bad luck, you better get rid of it now!

Yes, bust out the cape. I will be unveiling a new character this week too in preparation for my halloween costume (be sure to check out the north endzone during the game  ). Hopefully we get on track this weekend. The weather looks nice so far. Lets stick together and pack the house this weekend and all have fun in the beautiful fall weather in Bozeman.

I am going to propose switching up seats with the group of friends in our section on Saturday. Wearing a different hat, not drinking Bud Light before the game - back to MGD or Kokane, and dont eat chili with chicken in it.

Somethings gotta give

Or, you could serve up some of that yummy vim....

That should take care of any, or all bad luck. :suds:

I'm doing my part. My favorite Bobcat hat which brought us an unbeaten record at home in 05, was lost the day after the Colorado upset. After two debacles with the new hat I bought just before the Chadron game, I purchased a new one as close as possible to the one from last year. I guessing this was the problem, sorry everyone, we should be unbeaten the rest of the year. ;)

I went to the Chadron game with a new hat, and since they lost I switched to the hat I used the last three years. Now what should I do? Guess it is time to change underwear

I'm partially to blame too. I bought a brand-spankin new hat, haven't been leaving Helena on time to tailgate, been getting into my seats before kickoff, and haven't been driving my tailgatin pickup with my namesake license plates.... sorry guys!

If I could get it in the stubby bottle... that would be awesome! The Scoop used to sell Oly in that bottle. How about some Lucky Lager? That might do the trick.

Next tailgate, I might just fill my cooler with Lucky, Oly and Ol' Mill

While you're at it, you might as well throw in some Great Falls Select....

Hey, if it helped get the Cats shake this ugly monkey off their backs, I'd shotgun that bad boy and chase it with a Schlitz!

Actually, you can still buy Great Falls Select. It is now made by Harvest Moon Brewing in Belt Montana. Unfortunately can only be purchased in kegs.

Maybe a Great Falls Booster or Belt area Booster should pick up a keg, bring it to a game and post their tailgate location on BN. Maybe we could start a new Bobcat and Montana beer tradition. Maybe the Belt brewery would provide some banners or other Bobcat advertising? Just a thought.

The Harvest Moon guys are a great group. When I was in the bar business they would do just about anything a customer would ask (within reason). If they had any connection to MSU (I'm not sure what their allegiance is) they'd probably do a little promo

I did have Johns email at one time. If I can find it I will fire off an email to him.

When in Boulder the pre and post game party was sponsored by Miller Lite, so I thought Miller Lite was the good luck charm....but now I realize it may have been a coincidence so I better switch back to Bud Light also.

Or maybe bring something a little harder.......maybe its the beer?

I am fortunate enough to be on the sidelines this Saturday with the team. Maybe Coach K will allow me to call in a play. I was thinking schuffle pass to Lex? Sorry wrong team! :D
