WHAT BIG CHANGES AHEAD?

Kramer's post-game comments and the news media quotes alluded to "big changes" this week for the EWU game. I think Kramer should go upstairs and Bailey and Kristoff to the sidelines. That way Kramer can both run the offense and engineer the defense. Should the coaches lay off putting pressure on individual players? I have mixed emotions on this, but do think the coaching should accent the positive, and be constructive rather than aggressive on the negative. Player changes? I agree with those that say Carpenter should be yanked if he does not come out as a leader and a confident, accurate passer. O line --- more running plays will give a better idea of just who isn't doing what. Defense? If we're as deep as is claimed, then let's sit some of the big boys down --- quickly. What do the rest of you think are some viable changes, other than wrist razors for those of us who are losing patience fast? [/b]

Dear Lord please no. Did you watch the Cat offense in 2000? As bad as we may feel Bailey is doing we don't want Kramer calling the offense (and if I remember Kramer's comments during/after that year correctly, I think he would agree).

Yeh, KMAX, I do vaguely remember how inept we were 6 years ago. In spite of my trying to erase those memories, watching this year's offense is pretty much de javu. I'm starting to get that sick feeling in my gut that no one on the staff has a clue how to re-right the ship, and that we may be in for another season of abject disappointment. My casting about for reasons and solutions will come to an end with the last period in this message. I've got wood to cut and split, and granddaughter volleyball to occupy my Saturdays, and both are a hellova lot less stressful than watching a sick animal crapping in its own den, and then thinking about the whole damned event on the 150 mile ride home.

You summed up my thoughts exactly. I am NOT a fair weather fan... but when I know I'm going to drop around $300.00 for the trip, as I have done for the past 2 weekends, I need to seriously consider if it's worth the trip... or would some fall fishing or hunting be more enjoyable for my sons and I? Not saying I'm only going to the games if I think we're going to win, but Saturday's game was just not very entertaining.
