After watching the defense struggle yesterday, I think that the Cats are feeling the loss of veteran defensive coordinator Pete Kwiatkowski. Anybody agree?

I really don't think the D is much different than last year. You have to realize how often the team was on the field.
If you want to talk about a defensive coach loss that we still are feeling, talk about O'Brien.

I don't think you can necessarily pin it on one d coach leaving, seems to have more to do with several losses over the last couple years, look at any level and when there is mass coach turnover the team usually struggles

I doubt that Coach Kramer would have found it necessary to replace and demote Coach Kwiatkowski mid-week before the first conference game if Coach Kwiatkowski were still here.

If OB hadn't made his mistakes, I doubt he'd still be here. If he weren't our D-coordinator by now, I'm sure he'd have moved up/on.
Say what you what about the guy's personal life, but DAMN he could coach and motivate players like I've never seen!

I think MSU could have made a play to keep Kwiatkowski here if they could have offered more. I am sure he's making more than the Big Human at Bosie St. now.
THere were more things than money involved, I know, but it could have helped...

Kwiatkowski goes to Boise State, and even with a new HC and many other new Assistant Coaches they still have one of the top Defenses in the country.
Coincidence? I don't think so. Pete is in charge of the D-Line, and I have always thought that he was a great Coordinator.

Trust me losing coach OB hurt! That man was intense!
He brought the best out of not only me but out of the whole team period!
He was a strong believer in P3, for those of you who don't know
(players included).

I have heard that Kwiatkowski heavily endorsed Cristoff when he left. Remember that Kwiatkowski had Cristoff and OB as assistants when he was DC. We now have a very young staff.

He was a drug dealer. The problem wasn't losing him, the problem was his coming here. He let you down and everybody else - he deserves no credit for anything.
