PA Announcer

This game was a total bummer. But, I am chalking this off as to a letdown after last weeks big win. I think this team has a lot of talent and will get back on track. Did anyone have a probelm with this PA announcer? He seemed to get all the names wrong and his third down thing got really old very quickly. I thought he was an embarassment. He meant well but gee get a life!

I don't mean to be picky, but I just got so fed up with that guy. He was a total embarassament. There is a time and a place for everything but htat guy is just plain lame!! "THIS IS BOBCAT STADIUM" --big deal are we winning the game? THIRD DOWN, THIRD DOWN, THIRD DOWN! Gee is it really!!

Let's focus on the team and the game.

Next week will be a key to how good we really are . I think we have a really good team and today was a terrible aberration. Hats off to Chadron! Let's put this behind us and come out next week and kick butt!

This guy needs to can it. Those kind of antics are okay in a close game or one that you are dominating. But we're getting it handed to us by a DII team with only 25 scholies on the team - don't think the "THIS IS BOBCAT STADIUM" thing was intimidating them. And then call us MSU-Billings. For cryin' out loud, he shoulda been thrown out of the booth right then and there!

And I, too, thought the music was lame for the most part :(

Right-on 1badbobcat! If we were dominating the game it would ber one thing. But those Chadron fans must have been laughing at us. He is an EMBRASSMENT! I would fire him before the coaching staff!

I hope when we go back next week we don't have to listen to that krap! Otherwise I am going to have to reconsider my season tickets and donation to ASA! I go to games to watch the game and see them play hard not have the PA announcer be the star!

There is a guy by the name of Justin Rody who would be an awesome announcer. He has announced at the racetrack near Polson over the past few summers and does some PA work out at the Ice Garden. I'm not sure if he is in town but he would be about as good as it gets.

He applied for the job but was told he didn't have what it took. Sort of sounds famaliar as they tell lots of talented people that same refrain.

Anyone with clout who reads this should kick MSU in the behind and get Justin in the announcer chair. He'd do awesome. Very professional, great PA voice.

I know Justin. He's a good guy and would do well in that position.

Hopefully someone will pick up on this and get him in touch with the right people who can get him at least a shot. Perhaps you can get in touch with him somehow and have him call MSU.

 The PA announcer has a pleasing voice, but his material sure sucks. A little reality orientation, particularly knowing the venue, and giving the player roster a little more scrutiny would certainly help. Then, he's also attempting to put the MSU athletic department spin on a very painfully unpleasant event. Those folks in the fieldhouse need to understand that putting a coat of frosting on manure is not going to remove the stink.

I knew things were headed downhill when he mispronounced Bill Ogle's last name. If you have spent a little time in the area and have clue, you know who the Ogle's are.

He was totally unprofessional. Your right about the pronouncement of Bill Ogle's name. Here is a guy who gave so much to Bobcat Athletics and we have this lame guy who can't pronounce his name right Bill OGLEE! That was very embarassing. Who do we voice our displeasure with on this?

Alos I thought some ofthe music was off the wall. What is this MAGIC bit--I thought football was makinggood plays and executing. It's nothing to do with magic!

The fans that were sitting around me were absolutely dumbstruck at this. We all just shook our heads in amazement. This is the same guy that called the games last year and he is still an idiot. I am sure that there are threads that talk about this d!psh!its idiocy from last year.

As mentioned above, he missed on Bill Ogle. He missed on MSU Billings. He missed on players names. He missed on the stadium name. He missed the boat. How does someone reach this guys boss, who is this guys boss? There are way too many people that take so much pride in our program and for this schmuck not give a sh!t about taking the time to learn some basics is.......well to steal a line from my least favorite radio personality.........BUSH LEAGUE!!!

He is an embarassment to MSU Atheltics and all the fans! He has got to go! He seems to think he is the show! I have never seen a person so unprofessional at this level!

I kept waiting for the Papa Johns "Pizza Scream!" competition. This guy is a terrible, even if my friend keeps trying to convince me that he is a good guy in real life. I don't care about that, get him off the mic.

I can't believe that it would be all that hard to find someone with the interest, the guts, and the pipes to be an excellent MSU PA announcer. Heck, I know one of our own who should have got the job last year.

What a joke this guy has turned out to be. 0% satisfaction rating.

One of his gems from last year: "Andrea Fuller on the tackle."

On a side note, where were the F-16s? I thought we were supposed to have a fly-over. I personally think that is one of the coolest things to see at a sporting event. We didn't have them at last year's home opener, either. Last year's opener was real cloudy and rainy; maybe the smoke had something to do with their abscence this year. Could have been the difference between a L and a W #-o

It is pretty damn cool. I get goosebumps just thinking about it. I thought last year the only time that was done was for the homecoming game. Maybe they will do that again this year. [-o<
