I was on Raiders page and it showed Rick Gatewood was released.

@#%$&*$#%!!

Hope someone else picks him up.

This really surprises me. I saw him catch passes in at least two pre-season games, and he looked very good. Maybe he will picked up.

I'm a Raiders fan & nothing they (Al Davis) do really surprises me- yesterday they re-signed Jeff George.

Someone will pick up Gatewood, I would guess. But the Raiders just had too much at WR, he really didn't have much of a chance unless he really improved.

I'd like to see Jimmy Farris go to my Steelers, and then Gatewood could get picked up by the skins. Actually, I wouldn't even mine Gatewood as a Steeler.

The 'skins are pretty loaded at reciever also--Lloyd, Randle el, Moss. How about somewhere like Minnesota where Koren Robinson was just released.

If Burleson is having a hard time getting on the field, then Rick would find it even harder, in my opinion...

Rick could find a home in N.O. since they just let Stallworth go. N.O. is not deep at WR.

Considering that Burleson is in Seattle, I think that may be a reason why he isn't seeing too much time in Minnesota. Anyway, I would love to see Rick pick up somewhere even if it is on a practice squad somewhere. He'll probably have to play in Canada or Arena if he wants to continue and maybe someday in the future he'll be able to make a squad in the NFL.
