ISU Game
IMHO, I think we will be strong on the offense. The WR's will do there job, Lulay will be on the mark. The ground game will improve. But all of this depends on whether the O makes it on the field. Its going to be a very tough game for the defense, in particular the corners. I feel Ryan force will really step up this week, but he is going to need help. If the defense does not allow the offense to get on the field its going to be an all ISU game. I really had high hopes for the Cats this year, now with all of the injuries I am wondering if we will even be a 50/50 team. I could use some words of encouragement. Any help?

This is the 4th straight year we've started 1-2. Does that comfort you at all?
We are improving every week, and even the corners are improving just from having valuable game experience. We may not make it past ISU, but there is no reason we shouldn't be competing for the BSC championship, especially since it is shaping up to be a fairly week conference this year.
I liked what I saw from our offense last Saturday, and with Milton getting more carries this week, our offense should be in good shape going into ISU Saturday.
On the defensive side, I wouldn't be suprised to see us play in zone coverage a little more. If we can get pressure on the QB, that will hopefully force some bad throws and lead to a few turnovers. Especially if what I've heard is true and they have a lackluster running game, we can focus on stopping the pass and I think we can be successful in doing so.
I don't want to sound like I am giving up on the Cats this year - hardly, I still think we can take the BSC and maybe even win a playoff game. BUT what I am excited about is next years squad. We will have so many returning players who hopefully will get it together this year, that next year we should just pick up right where we left off and FINALLY jump out of the gates running.

P.S. - Before you Friz start saying "The Cats are already talking about next year.", keep in mind it was just a side thought. I have done nothing but post about this years squad and aside from that last snippit, will continue to do so.
I have no doubt that Booby is going to remain winless to the Cats come November.
