regarding the Sunday Chronicle articl, why wasn't LB Bobby Daly listed as one of the returning defensive players?

Not sure, but maybe because he wasn't starting at the end of the year since Mollohan was back from his injury. He makes up for Marudas or Mollohan, IMHO. If Claggett or Bobo can do the same, we're rock solid at LB.

As far as I'm concerned the defense returns 11 guys and I have no concerns at any position.

Isn't that the truth... I have a feeling this defense will have the ability to really shut teams down. Fingers crosses for remaining healthy, and if they do - I'd say this defense will be at worst... great, and at best... phenomenal. Kind of hinges on the depth and play of the D line.

I have also heard that Fletcher may be really improved as well and fighting for a starting slot. So hopefully that is true and we'll have some pretty good depth at the LB slot.

I think Kramer has toned down his individual pre season "annointings". He used to call guys out about how great they were going to be, then it wouldn't happen. Remember the qb before Thomas, remember how before TT's last year it was great that we had a "Pac 10" qb to run our offense. I think he may be more willing now to just let things play out.

And I am guessing that that change in attitude has a lot to do with how strong the program and fan support now is. He doesn't need to be out there pumping up all the players to the fans and media to create interest. The interest, excitement and expectations are already there without him calling attention to players.

I don't think so. While I agree he's toned down the hype a bit, he also recently said, "At some point this year, this Bobcat team will be very good." It's a matter of how quickly things come together.

He did tell us (in Helena of course) that daly was one of the best tacklers he's ever coached. We'll see in a few months!
