I didn't realize than Kramers Dad had passed away. My condolences for the entire Kramer family.

I'm a bit surprised to see that Beach appears to "have a spot locked up at cornerback." Makes me wonder who will start at the other corner. Good to see a lot of depth, however.

My guess is Beach will be alongside Fuller or Smith. Either way, looks like we have some good depth at CB, and S. Hell our whole D doesn't drop off too much from starter to bench. LB may actually be the weakest part of this whole group, and they are no slouchers.

I haven't seen Beach at all but with that said, I would have started Fuller and Austin at corner. But I am pleased either way who starts.

I saw Beach during Spring ball, and I thought he looked pretty good.
My guess is that they will start Fuller and Beach, and use Austin as the nickelback.

I wouldn't argue with that.

Anyone planning on heading to the scrimmage on the 19th? I will be at the scrimmage on the 24th, so if anyone can post some info on the 19th scrimmage, that would be great.

From what I saw of Beach at the Triangle Classic, he should start. He was a stud. We all know of Austin and Fullers abilities, and if Beach is that much better, we should all be singing his praises instead of whining because one of the incumbents isn't there instead. IMHO. I think it is great and it means that for the first time in a long time, we have some DEPTH at some key positions and that is a GREAT thing.

I love the picture of Austin with all that mud on his jersey. I can't wait for some football.

I think its a good thing. I wasn't whining at all, I just said since that I hadnt seen Beach at all that I would start Austin and Fuller, but I agree that if he is that good he should start.

Longhorn 22 I apologize. I should have come up with another term. I also was not trying to pinpoint you either. I think as a whole, we tend to rely on our past starters and have a hard time thinking that anyone can come in and out-compete an incumbant. Longhorn, I respect your opinions and again apologize if I offended you.

Aside from the things already pointed out, it was interesting to see that Tyler Bolton has officially been moved full-time to WR. I know he was a hell of an athlete, but how often does a kid get recruited to a D-I school as a place kicker and end up as a WR! Congrats to him and I hope to see him catching passes soon.

It's no problem, I was making my intentions clear.

Anyway, good luck to Bolton at WR. I think it will be fun to watch him progress.

STILL no definative answer on Jefferson though - he is mentioned as a starting WR in the article...

Beach ran down Gazzero from the back at the spring game...Gazzero ran down Rob Schulte on a kickoff against the Griz last year!
