Pix Re-mix

Post by crazycat » Tue Jul 25, 2006 4:55 pm

I've decided to re-do my prediction for the BSC. Why? Because I can and because it's just too fun. Also because I think the BSC isn't going to do so well in the non-conf games.

MSU 6-2, 8-3...The Cats will eek past Cal-Davis. Beat UM in Msla, but lose at ISU and at NAU.
UM 6-2, 7-4...The Griz lose to Cal Poly late in year. Swogger's passing pct. stays on a par with what it was at WSU sub .50%. They also get run on by EW's big line and Cole and lose there.
ISU 6-2, 7-4...Lose to UNLV and Idaho. Good team, but they stumble on road against EW and UM.
EWU 6-2, 7-4...Two losses to I-As. Loss at MSU and to WSU.
PSU 5-3, 5-6...Lose all the non-conf. games. Beat WSU, UNC, ISU, NAU, and SSU.
WSU 5-3, 5-6...Lose to CSU and Cal Poly. MSU, UM, and PSU all beat the W'Cats.
NAU 2-6, 3-8...Beat Dixie, but lose to AZ and Utah. Big win vs. MSU and they beat UNC.
SSU 1-7, 1-10...Beat UNC.
UNC 0-8, 0-11...Skunked.

MSU and EWU are 2-1, but MSU beats EWU to win league. MSU is only BSC team to make it to the playoffs.

Just an FYI, but in that scenario ISU would win the auto. They go backwards in determining places so EWU and UM would be eliminated as 3rd and 4th (due to 1-2 head to head), then they would reapply the tie breakers to ISU and MSU. Since ISU won head to head they would get the auto bid. At least I am pretty sure of this.

Fixed it. MSU and EWU only teams at 2-1 and MSU beats EW to win league. Right?

Can I wait until the last game of the season, and then give my prediction? Bet I will be very accurate!

My heart says MSU wins the conference. :D However reality tells me that its a crap shoot between MSU,UM,ISU and EWU as a wild card. How is that for covering your ass?

The Bears won't be as bad as people think and MSU should NOT take them lightly. They played in a tough conference last year and won some game in there and played a lot of other teams tough (including Cal Poly).

Please. If you can link to even FIVE Griz fans who are seriously saying the Griz will blow out Iowa, I've got a nice $20 bill with Peter Gammon's face on it for you.

It wouldn't surprise me if Northern Colorado overtakes Sac. St. in the conference. At least their program is going in a right direction. (Sorry, Sac St. fans, I understand that you're incredibly frustrated with your football team) They won't be a sleepwalk for anyone in the conference and could very well pull off a big upset or two.

blowing out? no. but still shocking are the countless posts saying the griz have a shot. i'm all for the "any given sunday" mentality, but come on. cats say that we will beat the griz, and we're labled cocky. but blink, and the griz are beating the hawkeyes by a teader and a field goal. AND YOU WILL NOT, I REPEAT, WILL NOT BEAT IOWA IN KINNICK, OR WASH-GRIZ, OR IN BOZEMAN, OR ON THE MOON. PLEASE, WIPE YOUR EGO AT THE DOOR, AND STEP INTO REALITY.
