I see Roger was waived on July 18th. Did any other team pick him up? Gatewood is still on the roster. I hope Rodger gets another chance!

That does it! I'm cheering against the Raiders this season.

For full disclosure ... this is the status quo for me.

Damn Raiders! (and they are my favorite NFL team).

Hopefully someone will pick up Coop and Gatewood will stay with the Raiders.

That's too bad. We are really starting to make a name for ourselves in the NFL, and I never like to see a set back like this. Hopefully Coop will pickup with somebody else and at least make someone's practice squad. Here's to good wishes for everybody else on an NFL roster to make it this year. Rick, TL, Bolton, Joey, and EJ and anybody else I'm forgetting. [-o< [-o< [-o<

You should be glad its this early, at least he has a chance to try out for someone else.

Cooper was injured during the NFL Europe series. I never could get what the injury was or how extensive- may have something to do with the early release.

Which team was he playing for in Europe?

Wasn't there a db a few years ago that was on a roster somewhere? I am thinking of Hackett for the Chargers...........

Cooper was with Frankfurt this spring. There were 3 Big Sky players on the same team this spring- Cooper, Ochs and Roger Robinson, RB from NAU.

I wish I had knowd Cooper was playing for Frankfurt, I'd have payed more attention to their D. How was he doing before getting hurt?

Robinson sure made a name for himself there.

NFL Europe is a very short season and from what I could gather Coop was injured early, so I don't have any idea how much playing time, if any, he got in.

As you said Robinson had a great spring there and Ochs did very well also.

I don't think Roger played at all over in Europe as he was injured very early on. I think Oakland waived him because he is still having problems with the injury.
