Harder to say no to the Oregon State?

Really fantastic hire for ISU and possibly prescience from Jimmy Rogers?

Jimmy Rogers is really after the $$$. He's made the most of his move to WSU with what I am assuming is another significant pay raise.

I wonder if WSU is willing to wait for Vigen now, or if they already have a succession plan. I'm hoping that their staff wasn't gutted when he left, but I'm assuming he's bringing his guys.

Was wondering the same. If they really want Vigen, they have to wait. But they may already have something in place. I'd really like to think Vigen will stay true to his commitment, and I'm guessing Leon and the boosters made it worth staying. Here's hoping anyway.

I think Vigen will hold to his "not leaving during the season" rule, but if WSU somehow is more patient this year than last year then all bets are probably off in January.

Could be. But this article was an interesting read.

The good news I suppose is that the AD in charge of last year's search is no longer there.

Choate should apply for the Wazzu job. He never should have taken the Nevada gig. I think at a place like Wazzu would be a better fit for Choate.

They don’t even have an AD right now and they have even less resources than OSU. OSU is a campfire and Wazzu is a dumpster fire in a flash flood by comparison.

Yeah...but what if they want our AD and coach as a packaged deal? My hunch is that they'll fill the spot before Christmas and it won't be Vigen. Hope I'm right!

Somehow getting knocked out of this tournament in December would be disastrous in yet another way. I don't think there would be any stopping Vigen at that point.

Vigen front and center.

Colton Pool (former Bozeman Daily Chronicle reporter) includes Vigen's name in every single one of these stories he writes about an opening in the western part of the country. Complete speculation, no inside information here.
