Montana weather and round 2

Post by MountainCat » Thu Dec 04, 2025 9:58 am

It’s looking like morning snow and afternoon rain (and wind) for both Bozeman and Missoula on Saturday. Throwing the ball could be tough, running the ball will be huge for both Cat’s/Yale and Griz/Jacks. I think the Cat lines will set the tone for and take over our game, I feel like the Griz/Jacks game could see some fireworks. Wet weather may alter the offensive game plan and contribute to unexpected turnovers, the play in the trenches is always important but this weekends games it may be even more significant. Or, I’m just excited for the game and overthinking it… :D

It's dropped down to 38% on my app. Winds 10 to 15. Snow showers early becoming scattered later. Accumulations of less than one inch.

Depends on which site you use. Mine says 5-8" snow accumulation in Bozeman over the next 48 hours.

Just saw an ad asking for people to come in and shovel snow at bobcat stadium. Paying $22/hr.

I didn’t watch the Yale game last weekend but it sounded like their RB had quite a day. I’m betting his yards are a bit more limited on Saturday in Bozeman. I think Julius and Adam will have a very busy day, I’d be surprised if White and Coon don’t get in on the action too…

I was talking specifically about Saturday.

Gotcha, my bad. I'm watching more for the road conditions than the game conditions.

Which team do we think these conditions favor?

I think Yale will have a hard time going 4 quarters both offensively and defensively against the Cat lines. I think by the 3rd & 4th quarters, the Cats will start to REALLY open it up and wouldn’t be surprised if they start scoring almost at will.

I think the Jacks have better lines than the Griz on both sides, I think the Griz have a higher octane offense. If the weather is wet and slick, advantage Jacks. If passing isn’t a problem, it could be a 50/50. I personally would think the Jacks pull the upset but I believe it’ll be a tough, hard fought game like ours was in Missoula.

I would say Yale. But I don’t think it will matter.

It's no secret that the way to beat the cats is by stopping the run. If we have to rely on passing we will lose most games. Snow seems to help us keep the ball on the ground.

Huh?
Run game is much better than the pass game. Also have a cali qb who probably hates the cold.

There isn’t a DI QB that can’t handle mid 30 degree weather.

Tua Tagovailoa is an NFL Qb that can’t handle that temperature. Even one of the greatest of all time Drew Brees had below average numbers in the cold. Cold and snow will affect any quarterback. Especially one from California.

Yeah, no. This year we actually open up our run game through our passing game. Did you watch the griz game? We can and do pass very efficiently.

No doubt, but can Lamson be effective in a cold snow game?

The conditions of Bobcat Stadium favor the Bobcats, regardless of the conditions.

Showing pressure on fourth down in overtime. They bring pressure. Lamson throws...Endzone! Caught! TOUCHDOWN!!! Taco Dowler!

And a kick away from a championship.

Here we go. Miles Sansted. Snap, hold, kick, Up, GOOOOD!! FOR A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!
