Re: Kenneth Johnson Commits!
Looks like a nice get! Had offers from MSU, UND, UTEP and some D2 schools.

Yeah, looks like the D1 offers were coming in more recently. Most've had an impressive senior season.

His pinned tweet says he got 11 carries and rushed for 391 yards in one game!

He played at Jarrell High School, which is 4A-DII in Texas. Roughly the size of Class A in MT. But it's Texas, so I'm sure it's not much like Class A in MT. Looks like he didn't run track in HS, so we probably aren't looking at one of those sub-11 100 guys. Looks like he has decent speed regardless, plus good balance, strength, and just scored on sheer will and determination.

Enrollment is 968. A big Class A school here. He's a low 11s 100m.kennethnoisewater wrote: ↑Tue Nov 25, 2025 12:26 pmHe played at Jarrell High School, which is 4A-DII in Texas. MSU - 17 team National Champions (most recent 2025); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Re: Kenneth Johnson Commits!
We saw Johnson play for Killeen (Chaparral) before I think he transferred to Jarrell his senior year. Don't know the history there. Jarrell is 20 miles north of us here in Cedar Park / Austin. Our waitress that night told us he also loves horses....don't ask.
We've got a helluva weapon! 5'10" ish, probably 180, with speed to kill. Perfect Taco replacement. Great lower body strength.
Johnson had TDs on KO returns, receiving, and rushing - especially motion and reverse type of plays. He also had a 75-yard TD last weekend on a fake punt. I believe he visited for the UC Davis game.
Hard to compare Texas 4A to any Montana school but talent-wise it'd have to be AA. There is just so much talent and speed here in Texas. I keep thinking we should set up a Texas network with those of us Cats down here and create a recruiting spy network, and report back.

Re: Kenneth Johnson Commits!
Very big. But the classification is from like 545 to 946, so the classification is closer to A. They might move up soon if their enrollment is over the limit. Didn't realize he'd been at a different school the previous 3 years, that's why I couldn't find him on athletic.net.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 25, 2025 12:57 pmEnrollment is 968. Looks like its a great get but how many of these guys do we lose if coach Vigen leaves? Just makes me sick.

One would think that this guy is also hearing the word about Vigen. If you commit during the turmoil, I would think he is committing to a program and not a coach. The glass is half full.

Good grief people. Everybody knows Vigen isn’t going to be here for much longer. The recruits know too. Get a grip.luckyirishguy25 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 25, 2025 3:54 pmLooks like its a great get but how many of these guys do we lose if coach Vigen leaves? Just makes me sick.
