I've not been a Cats fan for as long as most of you, but it's so clear the tide has turned on which university is tops in the state. From athletic programs to enrollment, etc., there's just really no comparison. I know others have been saying this for awhile now. As far as football, Vigen has just taken this program to a whole new level. From the instate recruiting battle, to the expectation of being a high seed in the playoffs and battling for a national championship every year, that's a pretty cool place to be. Vigen finally got his win in Missoula with a team that was looked down upon compared to last year's team and yet this may be the team that actually wins it all! I know many of you have commented on how cool it's been to see the transition, and you have years and years of disappointing seasons to reflect on. But I'm so happy to have had the opportunity to become a fan of Bobcat football over the past 15 years, see the progress and celebrate the success. Pretty cool days were in right now!

The tide has been turned for a while now, IMO. Other than 2023 where the griz had a magical run to Frisco, they haven't had a deep playoff run in 14 years.
Meanwhile, over the last decade, the Cats are 7-2 vs the griz, we've made the playoffs 1 more time than the griz, and we've made deep playoff runs every year except 1 since 2019.
They had great times in the early 1900s and in the 90s, but the Cats have run this state for a while now.

Indeed they are. I was first there in 1976 so my expectations are that. It’s great to feel not only like we have a “chance” to win, but an expectation to win…and win it all. I think NDSU needs to eat humble pie this year… I expect they will!

The tide may have turned but I want more. I want dUMb to feel some REAL pain like we did during the streak. I recall Bobcat stadium being more than half maroon and us having zero chance to win. The playoffs were as distant as the surface of the sun. You could walk into a bar in Plentywood and six guys who have never been west of Fort Peck were wearing frizzzz hats. We were pathetic little gnats to be easily swatted away.
I want them to know what that feels like.

As do I. I’m rarely a believer in my flame burning brighter by snuffing another’s out… but I’ll make an exception for the gris

Yes he is. This year's team is an example of his style and what we can expect going forward - also appears to have helped Binford solve her offensive woes.
