Bobcats v. Davis Game Day Thread - The After Breakfast Unofficial Version

Bobcats take on the UC Davis Aggies (guess we didn't have enough of our own and have to bring in more) in a late evening ESPN2 game.
Aggies lost a lot of players last year to graduation or otherwise and purportedly have lost 15 players to season ending injuries. Since it's the Aggies and not the gris (or especially oldgris) I reckon we can believe them.
Full strength, the Aggies may have given the Bobcats a competitive game, and maybe still will. Last year's game wasn't as close as the score indicated as the officials (unofficially of course) decided to keep Davis in the game. Since the Aggies were full strength and at Davis and the 'Cats handily handled them, (other than the help from officials) expect the 'Cats to roll in this one.

I wish I saw a view of that PI call in the fourth. There were plenty of posts from people at the game that thought it was OPI but the broadcast didn’t catch it. That was a huge, huge play in that game. That 4th quarter had me twisted up like wtf is going on here hahah glad the Cats got that win though it was sweet.
Pumped for the game tonight. I’m thinking it’ll be a 34-13 or 41-20 for the cats. I won’t be surprised if it’s another shellacking like 48-14 though. I want a TE td, a +2 turnover margin, and 250+ on the ground. Ready for it, just 5 more hours lol

I was at the game the play you’re talking about happened right in front of us. It was such blatant OPI, that none of the Davis fans around us were cheering because everyone knew it was coming back.
They were all shocked when they called it defensive.

Speaking of tailgating, I hear that QB club gets to tailgate in the practice facility for this game. Is this true?

Yes. Hopefully they won’t allow food and drink on the turf

I musta been sittin' pretty close to you. My observations of the Davis fans were the same. Their receiver pushed our defender to the ground and it's DPI? Blind official. Tried to watch it again later, but it wasn't caught on the video and no replay either. There was another questionable call on a Davis TD. Not as blatantly obvious, but still questionable officiating.

This is foul. I hope that didn’t ruin your night damn. The lingering smell is the worst.

Kid puked between his legs but the force sprayed on several of us front of him. Girlfriend did her best to clean it up. It wasn’t great but the game results made it ok. Luckily I had long underwear on so for the drive home I removed the pants and put them in the back of my pickup.
It’s just one of the downsides of these late games. There quite a few fans that are a little over lubricated at kickoff.

I lol’d. Nothing says love like wiping up puke with napkins while profusely apologizing to strangers.

Kickoff 60 minutes before bedtime is rough.

Hoping Utah comes out and runs roughshod over Baylor and makes the 4th qtr there irrelevant.

Most of the east coast will be asleep before kickoff so not the national exposure we hoped it would be. At least it’ll be on at the sports bars.

For those in the know, does MSU receive financial compensation from ESPN for a schedule like this. Yes, it is global exposure with this
game, however for the vast majority of Cat fans why 8:15 or more accurately 8:40?
