Good coach. No quit in these Bears.

Yeah, I watched the game against UCD. UNC played pretty poorly the first half and I thought they’d fold up, but they came out in the second half and put up a fight. This isn’t the same UNC of the past few years.
I plan on heading to Greeley for the game. I’m bad luck for the Cats at away games though, so fingers crossed. The UNC fans were really nice the last time I went to watch a game there.

You know the UNC coach is telling his players the Cats are ripe for an upset (not that I think that personally) We need to start fast and crush any hope they may have. I’ll be there too, should be a nice day.

@grizzh8r and I traveled to Greeley for a game back in the day. I think it was UNC’s first and only Big Sky win of the season or something like that. Ugh.

Next weeks game could be very similar to the last. Physical defense, playmaker at WR. Beautiful setting.

Yep, that was Rob Ash's first season as HC (2007). Was a long ride back to Wichita...
Edit: 2007 was the first Ash year, I knew better, too as it's the year I graduated from MSU. I'll never forget it, because when I flew out of Bozeman to go to my job interview, I sat beside none other than The Big Human himself. He was on a recruiting trip, and Kramer and I chatted all the way to Denver. Was a cool experience, crazy to think that only a little while later, he was dismissed...

Yeah, no. If it was in literally any other college town in Colorado, you could possibly say beautiful setting. Greeley's not exactly picturesque...

Indeed. And you had to listen to me moan and complain the whole way back, so it was probably much worse for you.

Was that the game where we went ahead in the final seconds, then let UNCU have a huge kickoff return?

Wow, both you and
@ECBobcat have better memories of this game than I do... You two nailed it.

IIRC, we took your Ford Ranger, and we were both pretty disappointed and in sour moods. That season ended a lot like 2004. Started 6-2, then lost the last 3 to end 6-5 and missed the playoffs.

How’s the game day atmosphere and tailgating scene? Thinking of making the trek for my 3YO first Bobcat game.

Pretty non-existent on both counts, but it's still worth going to cheer on the Bobcats to another win!

The Alumni Association has a big tailgate tent behind the visitor side of the stadium and the regular tailgating is in the north parking lot. We take up more than the visitor seating and usually spill over into the student section. This is another stadium where the band sits right behind the visiting team so we all have to put up with them.

The way coach Vigen chewed out the O-line group in the 1st half (and presumably in the locker room at halftime), I believe the Cats will hang 20+ points on the lesser pandas by halftime. The week off rust is gone and MSU is going to start pounding and dominating the LOS more than they already have.
